Seriously, her heyday wasn't long and ended quickly, back in the 1990s. She's got a lot of credits on her IMDB from the last 10 years, mostly TV, but 2000-2010 looks pretty thin. So she did have a period of high earnings, over 20 years ago, but she may have had dip into her capital during the lean years, and a whole lot of investments crashed around 2008, so it's entirely possible that she doesn't have much left from her Romy-and-Michelle days.

But she's been working steadily for the last decade, and her husband has been... working occasionally, per IMDB. And he hasn't been keeping up the house.

I'm going to watch the episode now, but who knows how much she actually owed on the NY "penthouse", and what she owes on Malibu. When I had a flood at my place in Laguna, it took a year but it was completely done and actually nicer than before.

I like Mira. She's a solid actress and seems like a kind person with a good head on her shoulders. I recently listened to her interview on Marc Maron's podcast from a couple of months ago, and she mentioned that she didn't pursue her career as fervently once she gave birth to her children. She also admitted that she turned down several TV gigs that would have given her a steady, significant income. Instead, she kind of got stuck in indie movie hell. Indie flicks are good for actors who are starting out, or ones who are established and can afford to do them as passion projects. I don't think Mira ever had enough money in the bank to be able to do indie movie exclusively for 20+ years, though.

For fucks sake, I HATE people who get cheap while traveling. Don’t go on vacation if you are going to be too cheap to do anything. This is one of the reasons that I hate to travel with other people. My partner and I went to Paris with his parents, because they always wanted to go and were afraid to travel alone. JESUS! We ended up in a 3 star hotel, because they didn’t want to spend more than $250 a night. They didn’t want to pay to eat out, and wanted to buy grocery store food to bring back to the hotel. They complained about the cost of the museums, and his dad asked the attendant at the louvre if they had any special discounts for Americans (WHY)? Which reminds me, they always tried to use their US dollars for everything, and didn’t understand why no one took them. These people are worth $3-4 million, they’re just cheap. Why have a ‘once in a lifetime vacation’ to sit around in your hotel?

Shane is back on Jeff's radio show and everything seems fine between them. However, Jeff was recounting his couples therapy session with Stu. It really sounds like they're going to break up. It's just a matter of time. Jeff is starting to hang out with one his newer guests named Zach Noe Towers. I wouldn't be surprised if he's Jeff's next boyfriend. I know no one cares and this is a Mira thread, so I'll stop posting about Jeff after this.

Here's a clip from Paul Sorvino's film which never saw the light of day except for once at the Yuma file festival and once in Scranton. The city is suing his estate for the unpaid loan. I saw the movie. His character has an Asian twink lover named Louis. No joke. The movie is awful. There was a collective groan from the audience at the end.

I just looked up the movie in R384's clip and it stars several members of the Sorvino family. Mira, her brother Michael and some guy named Bill Sorvino (a cousin?) are in it. Was this some family passion project?
