Femboy Pride Flag

Isn't a femboy just a extremely effeminate and/or gender non-conforming gay man? Why do they need a flag?

Why is this co-opting the trans flag?

It’s a specific type of fem guy. Not the same your traditional effeminate gay guy. The fact that one is a femboy says nothing about one's sexuality. Femboys may be straight, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, or of any other sexuality.

It is also not necessarily indicative of one's gender identity. A femboy may still identify as male, or he may wish to be identified as female. However, it is common for femboys to be bigender. Additionally, I note that to the extent femboys are into males, they tend to strongly prefer straight identified males.

Anime has also buttressed femboy identity. The femboy often is an object of desire and fascination for straight men

Especially in internet culture, femboy emerged as a positive term in circles where femininity was prized, appealing to a range of individuals who might be attracted to a mix of feminine and masculine traits. Around the same time, femboy also came to be adopted as a self-descriptor for guys who tend toward presenting feminine for non-sexual purposes. These persons adopt femininity as a form of everyday gender expression, donning a conventionally feminine aesthetic by wearing makeup or feminine clothing, for example. Though effeminate guys are often stereotyped as gay, being a femboy isn’t necessarily tied to any sexual orientation.

All these flags just symbolize a decadent culture with nothing better to do.

Hot straight dudes if they are really straight don't care for femboys, but for femgirls. These are closet cases that think that liking a femboy makes them less gay or bisexuals. Cause when the femboy tskes off his fem clothes the boy remains in bed and it is not something that turns on straight men.

It is absurd just like saying that straight women like butches. The butch will attract bicurious women, but straight women don't give a shit.
