I have no interest in a James Bond who isn't sexy. Only Sean O'Connery and Daniel Craig have been truly sexy in the role.

I've never heard of Anthony Hamilton. I had heard of Timothy Dalton before he played James Bond. He was a fantastic Rochester in a TV mini-series of Jane Eyre. Excellent actor.

Sean Bean could have been a great James Bond, in my humble opinion. Jason Isaacs could have done it, too. There are plenty of known actors who were passed over, is my point. Question: is he rather obviously not straight?

Pierce Brosnan was the star of a hit series and appeared in a huge box-office hit right before signing onto Bond. Daniel Craig had key roles in box-office hits (Lara Croft Tomb Raider) or Oscar-movies (Road to Perdition) or indie films (Layer Cake).

Hamilton didn't have much of a profile.

When he was filming Mission Impossible, it was widely gossiped that he was having Nureyev levels of sex.
