Another Gay Movie (2006)- anyone else enjoy this movie?

Bery few poofs will do gay sequels out of fear of being typecasted... but now we live in a progressive era where only gay actors should play gay characters and be told they're self hating for even considering to play an unconvincingly str8 role. Though only those that identify as non-gay will get the accolades and awards of a stuning and brave gay performance.

R3 Jonathan Chase is hetero in real life and was willing to do the sequel but his management wouldn’t allow it because they said playing gay once is ok, playing gay twice is a career killer.

They released the Directors Cut last year for the 15th Anniversary in HD.

He also re-released the sequel in HD.

Mitch Morris (who played Griff) was openly gay in real life and very intelligent. He left acting behind after he went back to school and got another degree, this time in Law. He was a lawyer in LA for a while before going back to school again, and earning his third Degree in Creative Writing. He then moved to NYC and started a career in writing as well as a Professor.

I thought the lead, Michael Carbonaro, was sexy as fuck too.

Hate the sequel because of Perez Hilton. Recasting most of the main cast was a mistake, too. I liked the general idea of a gay summer, beach resort movie, but hated the execution. Did like Jonah Blechman as Nico, though.

This movie is extremely off-putting to wine cooler, turned crack whore lesbians. They find it incredibly offensive and vulgar. I love it.

The first one is fun. Trashy fun.

I love it because it is very 2000s. It takes you back to a certain time. I don’t know why everything needs to be “updated”. Most of todays shit sucks.

I enjoyed it for what it was -- silly fun.

They did a reunion on Zoom to promote the 15th anniversary edition. It’s an entertaining watch. They all seem to enjoy one another and share a lot of funny memories.

Yeah the sequel was atrocious. They could have picked better actors r14 and not completely ruin what they had set up in the first movie.

I need to see if I can find this (maybe on Tubi)? Never seen it before but that 2000s look is very nostalgic. About 6 months ago I ended up watching all five Eating Out movies - they are so dumb and ridiculous but I actually enjoyed the experience too. Would be fun to find something similar.

R35 I watched all the Eating Out movies about a decade ago. I loved 1-3. I actually found them fun. Part 2 is the best.

4 and 5 are terrible but entertaining.

R35 and if you want to watch the sequel it’s on the Prime Video Channel Dekkoo. I think that’s a subscription page but they give you 7 day free trial.

The first one is actually charming and fun, about 4 gay teens who want to lose their virginity.

The sequel is terrible but worth the watch just because.

I also agree with your feelings on the Eating Out movies. I did wish I’d watched them with someone rather than alone, they seem made for that.

And in typical Australian fashion, it's not available on OUR version of Tubi. Damn.

There is a YouTube channel (We Are Pride) that posts a lot of these movies (it's where I found Eating Out 3, 4 and 5 after finding the first two on Tubi) but it doesn't have AGM either.

The cover of the first Eating Out movie weirded me out with the female lead presenting her naked feet, like, WTF? For a gay themed movie?

I liked the sequel better, with the gratifying story of the self hating gay conservative group members embracing their gayness at the end.

I loved that messy fag hag character in those Eating Out movies. In the last two she only turns up for one scene each time that seems divorced from the main storyline, but she had me laughing each time. Wasn't she digging a grave at one point? Haha.

There is not enough silly funny gay comedies. Too many gay movies are depressing with sad ending. I understand their point but still, we need more funny gay movies. This one is silly even stupid but entertaining.

I know his movies aren't very popular around here, but I love the light comedy movies of Casper Andreas like Slutty Summer, Four Letter Word, Big Gay Musical, or Violet Tendencies (though that one has Mindy Cohn as lead struggling to find a straight guy to love when being a total fag hag, but it's still a great gay campy movie).

During that Zoom reunion, Michael Carbonaro has to backtrack on comments he originally made during filming - something along the lines of Jonah being too out there and needing to take it down a notch. Michael says he doesn’t remember saying that…but he was right.

I thought Jonah was perfect as the comic relief femme gay. I also didn't mind him being the lead of the sequel. The biggest mistake for me was Perez Hilton in that sequel. Hate, hate, hate that guy.
