She retired 4 years ago, which was a truly happy day. I found out the other day that she died last year. I was practically giddy when I found out. She really was a nasty piece of work.
I just found out that a former cunt boss of mine is dead

May I ask why she was so nasty?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | June 25, 2022 8:29 PM |
Don’t ever say anything about the dead unless it’s good.
She’s dead. GOOD!
by Anonymous | reply 2 | June 25, 2022 8:33 PM |
I understand completely OP. Cheers! If there's any justice, she's burning in hell.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | June 25, 2022 8:33 PM |
Mine should die

Close, but no cigar.

The boss who had the worst effect on my life died of ALS. When I read about it online, I thought I'd jump for joy. But no. I didn't even think anything like "the bastard deserved it."
I was like Morales in A Chorus Line: I felt nothing.

You lose.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | June 25, 2022 9:54 PM |
Cheers, OP. Let your year long celebrations commence.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | June 25, 2022 10:00 PM |
I'm currently waiting for my former boss to suffer the same fate.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | June 25, 2022 10:26 PM |
Good. Presumably she was a passive-aggressive bitch.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | June 25, 2022 10:46 PM |
Find out where she’s buried and leave a nasty note on her grave.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | June 25, 2022 10:51 PM |
Revel as you are next!
by Anonymous | reply 13 | June 25, 2022 10:59 PM |
So whose former (or current) cunt boss are you, OP?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | June 26, 2022 12:24 AM |
Congratulations op

by Anonymous | reply 16 | June 26, 2022 12:25 AM |
Can we hear more about what made her so bad? I like people's work stories.

[quote]I was like Morales in A Chorus Line: I felt nothing.
And ALS patients. Oh, the irony.

[quote]Can we hear more about what made her so bad?
On Casual Fridays when we ordered pizza, she'd refuse to pay for extra pepperoni, and then pick pieces from several slices, put them on her's, leaving the others just naked cheese.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | June 26, 2022 12:40 AM |
R19 That's not just tacky. That's downright unsanitary.
And you idiots let her get away with this more than once? I woulda smacked that tramp!
Are you a doormat to your current boss too?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 26, 2022 12:50 AM |
R19 is not OP, though.

You may not always be around to witness it, but sometimes...SOMETIMES folks get what's coming to them, OP.
I once had a horrible boss, when I was saving to go back to school. I was working three fairly shitty jobs at the time (two full, and one part-time) and the GM of one of those jobs was a nasty piece of work. I've always suspected she had something seriously wrong between the ears. I still do.
Anyway, she severely mistreated employees (including her then future daughter-in-law) for YEARS in a multitude of ways (yelling at them in front of customers, fucking with the schedules in an attempt to "get revenge" on people that pissed her off, and so on. CONSTANTLY), and even continued to smoke in the office when that county imposed a smoking ban. That eventually stopped when someone notified the health department.
One time I called off, and she sent a shift supervisor TO MY APARTMENT to let me know that I was fired if I followed through because she thought I was skipping work to go to a drag show AIDS benefit (which I was, but it was none of her fucking business). I went anyway, and wasn't fired. But I WAS on her shitlist for a while. She would swing my hours from five one week, to more than I could handle the next (she knew I was working multiple jobs, and tried to fuck with that). She was that childish, petty, and vindictive.
Two years later, I moved away to school, and two years after that, I heard that she'd she'd been fired from her position as GM (due to overpaying her husband out of the company coffers & under the table for "clearing the parking lot" and other "outside work", stealing food and cigarettes when she felt the need, and generally treating absolutely everyone like shit...and I'm sure those weren't her only offenses).
The comeuppance went as follows: She didn't die. But in the space of a year and-a-half, she was fired (at age fifty-something, from a company she'd worked for for decades), her not yet thirty year-old (WORTHLESS FUCKING ASSHOLE) son died of cancer, and her then husband (her second, with whom she was cheating when her first husband was ill with cancer) ALSO died of cancer.
I'm not saying either of those people DESERVED cancer, but that this all happened to one of the worst people I've known, seemingly all at once...speaks to me. That was definitely cosmic comeuppance. But believe what you like.
Last time I checked, she was the GM of the Subway in the Walmart across the street from the store that fired her. She's probably still a harridan cunt. She's not the kind of person to learn from her mistakes, or soften with age.
She'll probably smoke herself to death, although the nastiest people seem to hang around the longest. Either way, she's long been out of my life, and I'm better for it. And it seems OP is better off as well. Good times.

I had a cunt boss who had a painful break up with her common law husband and became severely I’ll needing surgery. I had moved on by then and was glad to hear it she was such a nasty piece of work. She would single out one staff member to bully and try to involve the other office fraus in it just nitpicking every little thing that was done. I laughed when her partner who wouldn’t even publicly acknowledge they were together got engaged to some other woman a month after they broke up.

Sorry- At the end of our lives we will review other folk's lives, how they felt, and what they went through...
I have HATED and currently hate some people I work with.. HATED- I can think of one in particular who basically made me move on to another role..
But I will never curse them upon their death.... Its not good...
And a vendor of mine just passed away at the age of 51. He was a surly motherfucker and I did not like him at all..
Talked to his boss last week and it turns out that he did some DEEPLY kind things for some fellow coworkers (I cried- tears streaming down my face)
His body has not even been claimed yet.
Lets try to accept that we cannot understand other people's actions but ultimately we all die- and nothing- NOTHING - matters.
And then I learn from my oldest account-

I just left a job where this hateful witch was my boss. She was old and ugly. I hope someone either a) dropped a house on her or b) gave her a bucket of water in the face.

R 29 LOLLLLLLL ( No more LOL according to DL- fuck me)

Maybe she was abused- or a SAINT in her past life.
Love her- Give her forgiveness and GRACE. Try it-

Last time I felt like that OP was when my old school was demolished. (40 years after I left). The buildings were 165 years old at the time and people were upset they were going to be pulled down. I was like 'Yeah! Pull it down, pull it down!! Spent five years in hell there. It was a joyful moment to see the walls falling.

I had two psycho bosses while I was still in high school and that set me up for working in a really dysfunctional career.
The first was the worst. She was my stepmother’s cousin. She owned a gift shop and I would work the cash register on weekends. This was my first job and I did a fair share of screwing up. Instead of addressing me directly, she’d call the house and tell my father what I’d done. My father would then tell my bitch of a stepmother.
One day the owner’s son came in and took a box of paintballs HE was trying to sell. He decided to use them instead. His mother thought I took them. I was and am the last likely person to play paintball. She called up to the house and raised hell. I was screamed out when I got home, even thought boss bitch hadn’t said a word at the store. It took forever to get this untangled.
The next week I was fired for not turning off the back light before I left. I found out about that second hand too.
F her. The store went under anyway.

OP- As Coroner , I must aver I thoroughly examined her.
And she's not only merely dead, She's really , most sincerely dead.

Perhaps you should dance on your dead boss's grave?
by Anonymous | reply 35 | June 26, 2022 8:15 PM |

I had a nasty boss who was all about money. All of the misery in his life was about getting money. His kids - who he worked so hard to spoil - grew up disliking him and just as he was beginning his retirement planning to sell the company at 62, he died of a stroke. I had reason to hate him - but he also have me a well paying job, twice, I feel he suffered enough from his own ambition and had the ultimate payback of never being able to appreciate all his accumulated wealth. So many people hated him - but he was more concerned with making lots of money. A life lesson that made me realize I value bing kind more than being rich.
