Some years ago when I used to work with Social Security disability claims I had a client, a little boy, named Demon. The mom was claiming he had ADHD. I thought it was very strange name for a kid. Come to find out it was pronounced Day-mon. Why didn't she use an A. Anyway, no I don't believe Daymons.

Agree with R7. Demons are a product of religious fervour/belief. Remove the concept of Allah, Jesus etc from your life and with it goes other superstitions. Why oh why would a demon or poltergeist be banished by a Catholic priest? In exorcisms, does the demon identify as a lapsed Catholic? What a crock of shit.

Not really, not in my more rational moods, but I must admit I do wonder lately if there are the kind of dark forces r16 is talking about, dark forces that simply revel in mass shootings and bloodshed and chaos and human misery, just out and about and getting stronger. And I do wonder if all those people sending "thoughts and prayers" after every new horror are really sending thoughts and prayers to them, making them stronger for the next horror.

Those aren't dark forces R18 just humanity. It's always been this way. We just have quicker access to info.
