But he was fantastic in Elvis. It’s a strange movie, very dreamlike and spastic in fits, but his performance was quite magnetic.

He is a close friend of Stella McCartney (Austin told Corden some cockamamie tale of meeting Stella simply because they frequented the same cafe. Sure, Jan. And you have an agent because?). He is seen with tall model Kaia now instead of the little troll Vanessa Hudgens.

This is why he also got rid of his original nose and youthful six-pack to become the lissome creature he currently is: the better to get modeling and acting gigs. It's working. Next up on the Silver Screen for Austin is in "Dune 2" as the villainous arch-enemy of Timothee Chalamet.

I say all this as one who finds Austin Butler 2022 to be stunningly beautiful and brilliantly talented and who appreciates how often Baz shows close-ups of Elvis's face!

It is also brilliant. Austin Butler is brilliant.

He has an awkward energy to him, but I don't find him creepy. I am a little hesitant to see this movie. Not sure why, but I feel like it might be slightly overrated. I think it's just been awhile since we had a good biopic, we're overdue for an Elvis biopic, and he pulls double-duty acting and using his singing voice. It got Joaquin and Reese Oscar noms for Walk The Mile, so it'll probably work for Austin as well.

I'm too old to care, but he's alright. Over doing it in the interview, possibly just nerves.. Voice is masculine, slightly annoying. Haven't seen Elvis, the movie, yet. Elvis has been done so difficult to be excited about another film.

Safe bet, r37. Rami didn't show 1/10 of the emotional range, none of the singing talent, and virtually no serious aging , and won.

Just the rage scene when he learns of the Colonel's financial perfidy and his father's ineptitude, when Elvis must go from neutral to cold to white-hot physical release back to cold, is Oscar-worthy by itself.

he's very good looking in person but his eyes are a little too close together for me to find him drop dead gorgeous. In some interviews that I've seen, he will make hand gestures to enhance his looks. he will touch his fingers to his face a certain way etc.

It seems so far he either can't let go of the accent or refuses to and the sorta Elviseque style.
