by Anonymousreply 1June 13, 2022 12:48 AM

OP is posting from the year 2000

by Anonymousreply 2June 13, 2022 12:49 AM

Are you the one who posted this thread about Mike Tyson's daughter dying in 2009?

by Anonymousreply 3June 13, 2022 12:50 AM

So long, dearie

by Anonymousreply 4June 13, 2022 12:51 AM

NOOOOOO!!

Someone check on Jack Lemmon, quick!

by Anonymousreply 5June 13, 2022 12:51 AM

No, it's true. He was resurrected, saw tonight's Tony's and was like .... fuck no.

by Anonymousreply 6June 13, 2022 12:51 AM

[quote] who became a master of crotchety comedy

You don't need a master's degree to that. Any fool can do that.

by Anonymousreply 7June 13, 2022 12:51 AM

r7 Just stop it.

by Anonymousreply 8June 13, 2022 12:53 AM

What does Tony possess?

by Anonymousreply 9June 13, 2022 12:54 AM

I'm getting some breaking news about Rock Hudson...

by Anonymousreply 10June 13, 2022 12:54 AM

Oh darn. I was looking forward to Hello Dolly II. Mama was ready to sign on.

by Anonymousreply 11June 13, 2022 12:55 AM

Celebrity deaths come in threes. I hope the Grim Reaper doesn't take Marlon Brando next.

by Anonymousreply 12June 13, 2022 12:56 AM

OP, I have some bad news for you about Diana, Princess of Wales...

by Anonymousreply 13June 13, 2022 12:59 AM

Say goodnight Gracie.

by Anonymousreply 14June 13, 2022 1:01 AM

Horace Vandergelder...you go your way, and I'll go mine.

by Anonymousreply 15June 13, 2022 1:01 AM

R13 She's only seriously injured.

by Anonymousreply 16June 13, 2022 1:02 AM

I have some horrible news coming out of California: Some idiot pulled out in front of a major young movie star heading to a race in the car in which he was supposed to compete. The star was announced DOA at the hospital. I hope it wasn't James Dean!

by Anonymousreply 17June 13, 2022 1:02 AM

R17 is Alec Guinness.

by Anonymousreply 18June 13, 2022 1:04 AM

I'm at liberty. We were talking about Out to Sea: Back on the Ship to start shooting soon.

by Anonymousreply 19June 13, 2022 1:04 AM

So young too

by Anonymousreply 20June 13, 2022 1:05 AM

Just don't take Totie Fields next.

by Anonymousreply 21June 13, 2022 1:06 AM

That wasn't Walter. It was his reincarnation.

by Anonymousreply 22June 13, 2022 1:07 AM

I was so confused when it said he was in his 70s and just died. He was ancient 30 years ago 😂

by Anonymousreply 23June 13, 2022 1:08 AM

You forgot to sign your post, Ms. Rainer @ r20.

by Anonymousreply 24June 13, 2022 1:08 AM

R21 No, just her good leg.

by Anonymousreply 25June 13, 2022 1:08 AM

[quote]OP, I have some bad news for you about Diana, Princess of Wales...

I heard her face got it...

by Anonymousreply 26June 13, 2022 1:10 AM

There's a rumor that Diana will be starring in a musical comedy about her life with Brooke Shields as Fergie.

by Anonymousreply 27June 13, 2022 1:12 AM

No ego

by Anonymousreply 28June 13, 2022 1:14 AM

R10 The rumor that Rock Hudson is gay is ridiculous.

by Anonymousreply 29June 13, 2022 1:14 AM

BEARKING NEWS: Hindenburg Catches Fire! Oh, the humanity!

by Anonymousreply 30June 13, 2022 1:16 AM

I recall he died before Jack Lemmon who died in 2001. They appeared in several films together. I had to read the name in the title three times to make sure I was identifying the correct person.

by Anonymousreply 31June 13, 2022 1:19 AM

R1 omg thank you! I could have sworn he died like 20 years ago and thought I was going insane when I saw this thread 😂

by Anonymousreply 32June 13, 2022 1:25 AM

[quote]Are you the one who posted this thread about Mike Tyson's daughter dying in 2009?

Yeah, obviously. OP is the MRA who has been stinking up the place for a few days, and he's posting all these threads about old topics to up his karma. If you start threads that earn a lot of replies, you're not so easy to FF off the board.

It doesn't hurt that it also bumps current topics off the front page. DL pretty much only exists to give worthless pieces of shit like him attention, apparently.

by Anonymousreply 33June 13, 2022 1:28 AM

MRA?

by Anonymousreply 34June 13, 2022 1:30 AM

Google?

by Anonymousreply 35June 13, 2022 1:32 AM

I was flying into Atlanta recently and the Bad News Bears movie came up on my movie options list. Strange, I remember liking that film growing up.

by Anonymousreply 36June 13, 2022 1:40 AM

He was so young.

by Anonymousreply 37June 13, 2022 1:50 AM

R37, are you also R20?

by Anonymousreply 38June 13, 2022 1:53 AM

I didn’t realize until recently what a nasty piece of work he was. He terrorized a very fragile Art Carney on Broadway in The Odd Couple.

by Anonymousreply 39June 13, 2022 1:58 AM

Now that he's outta the way, I'll have that crotchety thang all to myself.

by Anonymousreply 40June 13, 2022 2:03 AM

OP is time traveling again.

by Anonymousreply 41June 13, 2022 2:05 AM

Did he support trans rights?

Did he sleep with penis'd women?

by Anonymousreply 42June 13, 2022 2:13 AM

You just know he kept V8 juice lined up in his basement next to dusty old Playboys.

by Anonymousreply 43June 13, 2022 2:15 AM

What’s bearking about Matthau?

by Anonymousreply 44June 13, 2022 3:14 AM

Yep, R39 , I myself read that in Carney's unauthorized biography just a few years ago. I was disappointed to learn that because up to that point, I had liked Matthau. But fuck him; I'll choose the actor who appeared in "The Star Wars Holiday Special" and "The Muppets Take Manhattan" in addition to creating "Ed Norton", the template for every TV best friend since, over a bullying ham who thought way too highly of himself.

by Anonymousreply 45June 13, 2022 3:22 AM

R45 Carney is all but forgotten, Matthau is an icon

by Anonymousreply 46June 13, 2022 4:43 AM

Has Barbra Streisand weighed in?

by Anonymousreply 47June 13, 2022 1:16 PM

[quote] Carney is all but forgotten, Matthau is an icon

Art Carney won a Best Actor Oscar. Matthau had to settle for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.

by Anonymousreply 48June 13, 2022 1:22 PM

Ed Norton lives!

by Anonymousreply 49June 13, 2022 1:28 PM

The minute some asshole dies, we all want to make him a saint.

by Anonymousreply 50June 13, 2022 1:29 PM

I’ve watched the video of Walter Matthau peeing on me 5 times today. I’m so fucking sad he was such a great guy :(

by Anonymousreply 51June 13, 2022 1:32 PM

In spite of what the Qunts say....JFK Jr. is dead to us, too.

by Anonymousreply 52June 13, 2022 1:32 PM

What's OP's story? Hmm?

by Anonymousreply 53June 13, 2022 1:34 PM

She's partying like it's 1999...hasn't stopped.

by Anonymousreply 54June 13, 2022 1:39 PM

This just in. Gary Burghoff who played Walter O'Reilly in TV 's "M*A*S*H " has died. Here on the line is Liza to tell us about the mashed potatoes they served twenty years ago at the opening night cast party of "The Old Couple".

Thank you Larry. The potatoes were fabulosh!

by Anonymousreply 55June 13, 2022 2:05 PM

Didn’t Maggie Smith say that Herb Ross made Matthau cry on the set of California Suite? I can’t imagine anyone making Matthau cry on a movie set or anywhere else.

by Anonymousreply 56June 13, 2022 2:12 PM

Has anyone checked in with Michael Jackson?

by Anonymousreply 57June 13, 2022 2:20 PM

R56 Wasn't Herb Ross a prissy, precious non-gay heterosexual????

by Anonymousreply 58June 13, 2022 7:03 PM

Some pointless trivia for you: Dan Castellaneta originally based Homer Simpson's voice on Walter Matthau's. By season two, he had changed the voice significantly to allow for greater expressiveness.
