Sister Boniface Mysteries

Have any of you bitches been watching Sister Boniface on Britbox? It’s a Father Brown spin-off and she’s a sassy, liberal nun in rural 1960s England giving Jessica Fletcher a run for her money. It’s campy as hell and there are gay storylines.

I even think I like her character more than Father Brown. Also, that sergeant is dishy!

I recommend you all watch it on this fine Saturday.

I quite like it. It's very cheesy, feel-good, "tranquil" country side murder mysteries.

Going to check it out, OP. But a liberal nun is about as likely as an intellectual meth whore.

I found the series really rather lacking. It is clear that the the creatives were coasting with this one. The Hi de Hi! rip-off episode was horrible. I will say that the show does get better. I guess everyone was a bit more committed once it became clear that it wasn't going to be cancelled after two episodes. Still it is pretty cheesy. The use the same locations numerous times and it tends to be rather underpopulated.

Who are the gay characters?

R4, there have been 2 guest characters who have had gay storylines. That’s a lot for one season set in 1960s rural England.

Season 2 premieres on April 4 on Britbox.

You're obviously not a nice Catholic boy.

Found it boring. Love Bad Sisters, an Irish series on Apple though. Murder and mayhem.

2 episodes is about all I could stand R3. Really dreadful and should not be uttered in the same breath with Jessica Fletcher (Angela Lansbury) .

Mrs. Clam is my spirit animal.

I randomly watched the trailer for this just last week and wasn't convinced. I don't think the lead has the charisma to pull off that character. But what do I know, it's on its fourth season currently, so people are obviously watching it.

If you like Father Brown you’ll like it.

Nuns doing ANYTHING but praying has always been a winner.
