I don't find Joseph Quinn hot. Cocky Eddie Munson on the other hand ... it's more about the attitude than the physical appeal. Joseph doesn't project that attitude in the interviews.

Eddie Munson looks like a cocky rock god a la Eddie Van Halen but underneath he's really a Dungeons and Dragons nerd that would worship any attractive person that would give him and his interests the time of day. Joseph Quinn looks like a regular English guy with regular English self-effacment, but underneath has the massive actor's ego that would make even an one-night stand unsatisfying (too in his head about either getting himself off, or about performing for his partner). So Eddie is hotter than his actor.

I have gotten through episode 5 of the season. I don't think he is hot but is a more interesting character than Billy was. Billy was pretty one-note from the beginning, so there was not even much of a difference with his character when he became "evil" and his redemption seemed really false. Eddie at least showed some layers in the first episode. The jock boyfriend is hot physically, but right now is more just annoying with his obsession for getting revenge. It would be nice if he surprised us and did a season 1 Steve turn where he actually is not a complete jerk and has some empathy etc.

I will post my thoughts about the show on the Stranger Things thread when done with the show, but I think I care the least about El at this point. I feel they just tell the same story with her in a different way each season. Same character arc etc.
