MSNBC - Part 38
Dang, is Jamie Raskin EXTREMELY short, or is Garrett Haake EXTREMELY tall?

Numerous sites list Garrett Haake's height as 5' 11", which can't be accurate. One has him at 6' 4", a lot more plausible.
That interview was disconcerting.

Yes it was.

by Anonymousreply 346July 8, 2022 5:06 PM
Go home and get a good night's beauty sleep, Garrett; you look beat after tonight's Hearing.'s actually

He always looks like he's got bags under his eyes - but it's actually the lower contours of his protruding eyeballs.

by Anonymousreply 1June 10, 2022 10:06 AM
This contributor Helene Cooper can’t talk on TV.

That's always been the case. As the legacy Pentagon beat reporter, I guess she's always the goto.

Just wish they'd bring back Kevin Baron. when he's not resting.

I wonder how long it will be until somebody throws the towel in on Rachel appearing once a week.

by Anonymousreply 3June 10, 2022 10:43 PM

I'd like to suckle Chris Hayes, but I've never enjoyed his show.

by Anonymousreply 4June 10, 2022 10:45 PM

I'm available for 9pm anchoring duties. The ratings will skyrocket! But we must tape the show. I have to be home in the evenings to change Alan's diapers and attend to his sexual needs. A woman's work is never done!

by Anonymousreply 5June 10, 2022 10:51 PM

Garrett's 6'4" - same height as Beto O'Rourke. Garrett got his start covering Beto's Senate run in 2018.

by Anonymousreply 6June 10, 2022 10:58 PM

I bet Garrett Haake has a nice long dong.

by Anonymousreply 7June 10, 2022 11:04 PM

They don't call me Long Dong Silver for nothing!

by Anonymousreply 8June 10, 2022 11:05 PM

I wish they'd give Garrett his own show. Fed up with MSNBC hiring a bunch of dumb women (Katy Tur), senile old bitches (Mitchell) and shrieky black women playing the race card 24/7 (Tiffany what'sherface). And they can replace BernieBro Hayes who is also a Privileged Straight White Male with Garrett.

by Anonymousreply 9June 10, 2022 11:09 PM

R9 yes! Give Garrett the 8pm hour. He'd really be good at a format similar to the old Kasie DC show..

by Anonymousreply 10June 10, 2022 11:12 PM

Awww, R9, I love Katy Tur; I just do!

by Anonymousreply 11June 10, 2022 11:13 PM

^^^Then Gadi at 9 and Kornacki at 10.

by Anonymousreply 12June 10, 2022 11:13 PM

Garrett is a big-dicked bottom!

by Anonymousreply 13June 10, 2022 11:15 PM

R13 Works for me.

Thanks for that mental image. It will join the one of Greenspan writing most of his books while in the tub.

by Anonymousreply 15June 10, 2022 11:39 PM

Audience research shows viewers want more Andrea Mitchell

by Anonymousreply 16June 11, 2022 12:04 AM
And they can replace BernieBro Hayes who is also a Privileged Straight White Male with Garrett.

So Chris Hayes is a "Privileged Straight White Male" but Garrett isn't?

by Anonymousreply 17June 11, 2022 12:56 AM

I like Andrea. She's been caught "resting her awareness" a couple of times each episode for the past year or so, but she'll snap back eventually. Old girl's a pro (who probably has the goods on everybody).

Bless her hawkish heart.

by Anonymousreply 18June 11, 2022 2:25 AM

I liked Craig Melvin's show before Andrea. Disappointed when he left. Yes, I know he's on the Today show.

by Anonymousreply 19June 11, 2022 11:35 AM

I've been following these threads for a while. There's always very little discussion of the awful Morning Joe. Honest question: Does anybody really care what Mike Barnicle thinks about anything?

by Anonymousreply 20June 11, 2022 12:38 PM

by Anonymousreply 23June 11, 2022 2:09 PM

R17 Garrett is a Privileged White Male who is hot. Chris Hayes is a Privileged White Male who is butt-ugly, with an annoying nasal voice and he's a BernieBro.

WE WANT GARRETT.

by Anonymousreply 24June 11, 2022 2:48 PM

R19 why did they get rid of Craig Melvin? He was fine and certainly a thousand times better than icky, oily Jose Thingy. As for Andrea Mitchell, at least once a week firing her old Republican ass and her protege Chuckie Todd gets trending on twitter. Mitchell can't even spit out a coherent sentence anymore. Maybe people who want to get rid of her (that would be everybody but the MSNBC brass) should complain about elder abuse.

by Anonymousreply 25June 11, 2022 2:53 PM

...and Michael Steele will be added to the MSNBC lineup in 5, 4, 3...

I do like him in spite of his remaining in the republican camp; his honesty is appreciated (talking about you, Nicolle).

by Anonymousreply 26June 11, 2022 3:03 PM

I used to watch AM Joy on the weekends and liked her show which was well-balanced back then and not Race Card! every 3 minutes. Now they've got Tiffany Somebody with a shrieky voice which can shatter glass who plays the Race Card! every 3 seconds. Jonathan Capehart's OK.

by Anonymousreply 27June 11, 2022 3:07 PM
Does anybody really care what Mike Barnicle thinks about anything?

I do, R20, and sensible Mike is the only reason to tune in to "Rabid Joe" and fast-forward to Mike's comments.

by Anonymousreply 28June 11, 2022 4:54 PM

They didn't "get rid of" Craig, R25; he just seemed to have gotten tired of doing both shows and opted to focus on The Today Show.

by Anonymousreply 29June 11, 2022 6:50 PM

R20 the ghost of Andy Rooney. He cares.

by Anonymousreply 30June 11, 2022 8:10 PM

Michael Steele's a hot daddy with a beautiful smile and I'd happily watch him host a show!

by Anonymousreply 31June 11, 2022 9:39 PM

Michael Steele seems to be perpetually happy regardless of what's going on. He issues dire warnings with a what-me-worry attitude. A little like the Dalai Lama.

by Anonymousreply 32June 11, 2022 10:01 PM

I loved when Chairman Steele referred to someone being "swave and debonah" the other day on Deadline. He's serious, but has a lighthearted side, too, which is always on hand.

by Anonymousreply 33June 11, 2022 10:08 PM

Why do they keep forcing the awful Joy Reid on us?

by Anonymousreply 34June 11, 2022 10:44 PM

No one is making you watch her, R34.

by Anonymousreply 35June 11, 2022 10:46 PM

Don't even get me started on Mika Scarborough

by Anonymousreply 36June 11, 2022 10:46 PM

R35 Like most intelligent people, I do not watch her.

by Anonymousreply 37June 11, 2022 10:47 PM

Somebody on the last thread pointed out MSNBC does better under Republican presidents. That's probably true, but it's part of the problem. MSNBC never successfully recalibrated after Trump lost. It's all Trump this and Trump that. Now I will grant you that January 6th was a huge story. However, in this large and diverse country, other news does occasionally break. They could cover other things once in a while.

by Anonymousreply 38June 11, 2022 10:56 PM

I've gotten to where I watch Shep Smith at 6 on CNBC because at least he covers more news than MSNBC does. MSNBC is just each anchor giving their take on the same fucking story. All day long. They're Fox News' identical twin these days - no news, just pundit spinning.

by Anonymousreply 39June 12, 2022 12:10 AM

R39 I completely agree. And like Fox News viewers, MSNBC viewers now don't even realize they're being spun. Scary.

by Anonymousreply 40June 12, 2022 12:19 AM

"Let's bring Ashley Parker into the conversation so she can repeat the exact same thing she and other reporter/pundits have said for the past18 months."

by Anonymousreply 41June 12, 2022 12:26 AM

It's a shame Michael Steele has such a shit history as a typical Republican (although he seems to have evolved somewhat). I think he would have been an interesting replacement for Brian Williams -- opposing political parties yes, but otherwise seemingly friends with the same general intellect and sense of humor.

by Anonymousreply 42June 12, 2022 1:04 AM

R40 If in your mind, you can equate what you consider spin from MSNBC, to the outright distortion of reality on Fox, then it's you that's scary.

by Anonymousreply 43June 12, 2022 8:36 AM

r43 Again with the tit for tat bs. As I've said before, just because Fox is worse doesn't mean MSNBC isn't doing the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 44June 12, 2022 10:59 AM

Troll's back.

by Anonymousreply 45June 12, 2022 11:49 AM

R45 You're not big on opinions that differ from your own, are you?

by Anonymousreply 46June 12, 2022 11:55 AM
just because Fox is worse doesn't mean MSNBC isn't doing the same thing.

If one is worse, then they're not doing the same thing.

by Anonymousreply 47June 12, 2022 12:08 PM

r47. Look at it like this. A mother driving down the road with her two kids in the backseat. Both kids are complete brats with smart mouths and ill tempers. But only one of the kids punches the other. Two bratty-ass kids, but one is worse.

by Anonymousreply 48June 12, 2022 12:12 PM
Give Garrett the 8pm hour. He'd really be good at a format similar to the old Kasie DC show.

I'd love to see Garrett with a prime time show. MSNBC needs some new blood in its weeknight lineup, which has gotten stale. But I doubt it will ever happen because Garrett probably sees himself anchoring Meet the Press or Nightly News one day. Being a prime-time anchor on MSNBC would paint him as a liberal (even if he tried to be "balanced" on his show), making it difficult for him to later make the move back to NBC News. Once you become a prime-time MSNBC anchor, there really is nowhere else to go (which is why Chris Hayes and Lawrence O'Donnell will never leave unless they're forced out). Garrett could do a daytime or weekend show, though.

by Anonymousreply 49June 12, 2022 12:23 PM

Do not forget that we privileged white males sat at the table, in our closets, and did reconnaissance for the entire LGBT+ community.

The success of the entire LGBT+ community was predicated on us being privileged white males.

by Anonymousreply 50June 12, 2022 12:27 PM

R49 I agree, but I think would depend on the type of show Garrett was hosting on MSNBC. Obviously, Rachel Maddow will never have Lester Holt's job because she's seen as an opinion show host. But Shepard Smith could be because his show is more of a straight newscast. If Garrett had a show that was light on punditry and opinion, he might not hurt himself on the Nightly News fast track.

by Anonymousreply 51June 12, 2022 12:29 PM

Troll replies to it's own posts. Troll votes for it's own posts. Troll is a classic exercise in projection. Alas, Troll has zero self-awareness. Aww, sucks to be Troll.

by Anonymousreply 52June 12, 2022 1:07 PM

That's one impressive display of critical thinking r52

by Anonymousreply 53June 12, 2022 1:41 PM

Interesting segment on CBS Sunday Morning on Katy Tur and her fractured relationship with her father who transitioned more than a dozen years ago into a woman. She's never forgiven him for what she deems her/his abusive and irrational behavior when still married married to Katy's mother. But her father, also interviewed, seemed very apologetic and regretful of those times, citing her/his anger was due to confusion and frustration.

Katy seemed cuntish.

by Anonymousreply 54June 12, 2022 2:34 PM

Judge not, R54, we do not know the full story of what took place in the Tur home. I suspect the entire family fell victim to physical abuse at the hands of the father.

by Anonymousreply 55June 12, 2022 3:24 PM

Just like any contributing reporter has fallen victim to Katy’s cuntish attitude and needless interrupting done at her whim.

by Anonymousreply 56June 12, 2022 3:40 PM

Honestly MSNBC, Fox News, and increasingly, CNN should not be considered news networks. They are political opinion networks.

by Anonymousreply 57June 12, 2022 11:19 PM
If Garrett had a show that was light on punditry and opinion

Viewers don't want shows that are light on punditry and opinion during prime time. And if they did, they wouldn't be looking for them on MSNBC.

by Anonymousreply 58June 13, 2022 6:05 AM

Is there a projected start date for J.Psaki? It sounded as though she was not expected to take time off.

by Anonymousreply 59June 13, 2022 6:58 AM

Josh Barro reappears, on Bill Maher. Looking slightly chunky, and with a highly groomed 'stache. Still my boy.

by Anonymousreply 60June 13, 2022 9:15 AM

[bold]Slightly[/bold] chunky?

by Anonymousreply 61June 13, 2022 10:46 AM

R58 How do we know? I can't remember the last time they even tried.

by Anonymousreply 62June 13, 2022 10:59 AM

Katy Tur’s main talents are whining and complaining.

by Anonymousreply 63June 13, 2022 11:02 AM

More Gadi Schwartz! More Gadi Schwartz!

by Anonymousreply 64June 13, 2022 11:19 AM

Anybody else think Nicolle Wallace is boring as fuck?

by Anonymousreply 65June 13, 2022 12:09 PM

Love Nicolle. Didn't always. Do now. None more zealous than a convert. Both she and me.

by Anonymousreply 66June 13, 2022 2:06 PM

On Thursday night I did notice a distinct pattern of Rachel and Nicolle taking turns qualifying and clarifying nearly everything that Joy said. Not quite piling on, not openly correcting, but it did have a bit of a patronizing feel. Every point they made was accurate.

by Anonymousreply 67June 13, 2022 2:18 PM

Is MSNBC aware of the level of contempt their viewers hold for Chuck ("Bill Barr is an honorable man and will make an excellent Attorney General") Rosenberg?

Vote him off the air!

by Anonymousreply 68June 13, 2022 3:56 PM

R68 To be fair, during confirmation lots of other people could not imagine that Barr would turn into the dangerous ass-sucking Trump toadie that he became. Including many of the more progressive MSNBC legal consultants, like Neal Katyal. And several have apologized since.

by Anonymousreply 69June 13, 2022 9:30 PM

Barr showed every indication of future misuse of power during the Bush years, R69.

Patronize much?

by Anonymousreply 70June 13, 2022 9:45 PM

R70 Not at all, I never said I agreed with them. Taking this personally it seems.

by Anonymousreply 71June 13, 2022 9:50 PM

I like Chuck Rosenberg and his dry sense of humor, he was wrong about Barr, he has copped to being wrong about Barr repeatedly and I am a regular MSNBC viewer, too much so.

What ever happened to Andrew Weissman, I enjoyed him also. When ever he would start to speak he would start off with Sooooooooooo. I loved it because I am sure it set off some of you here on DL.

I missed the January 6th hearing coverage. How was Joy's wig?

by Anonymousreply 73June 13, 2022 10:22 PM

Joy has an embarrassing straw colored buzzcut and her face is two shades darker than her neck. Stop the insanity.

by Anonymousreply 74June 13, 2022 11:10 PM

I think Joy's new buzzcut looks great on her.

by Anonymousreply 77June 14, 2022 12:26 AM

I like Joy and I've liked many of her wigs/hairstyles over the years. But she's gotta find one look and stick with it! Otherwise, she comes off as very frivolous and unserious.

I mean, can you imagine Rachel radically changing her hairstyle/hair color every other month? Can you imagine Lawrence doing that?

by Anonymousreply 78June 14, 2022 12:28 AM

What about me, R78

by Anonymousreply 79June 14, 2022 12:32 AM

Even you have kept your classic hairstyle, Andrea, over all these years. It may get blonder every year but at least it's the same blob......errr, bob.

by Anonymousreply 80June 14, 2022 12:36 AM

I grew to detest Joy in the few days before the 2020 election was called for Biden. Kornacki would be talking about which counties still had votes to count. Then Joy would ask him about some random county where she knows people. Steve would be like, "No Joy, that county has completely reported," which was obvious if she had been paying any attention at all. And then she kept doing it!

by Anonymousreply 81June 14, 2022 12:38 AM

R80 Alan loves my wig.

by Anonymousreply 82June 14, 2022 12:43 AM

Nicolle looks so much better on her own show. The lighting and/or camera angles on this Jan 6 hearings show are not doing her any favors.

by Anonymousreply 83June 14, 2022 12:45 AM

Nicolle looks washed out and haggard.

by Anonymousreply 84June 14, 2022 12:47 AM

It is hard keeping up with a younger husband.

by Anonymousreply 85June 14, 2022 12:49 AM

How much gel/product will Rachel have in her hair?

What name will Chris Hayes call Trump this time?

Andrew has more than a whisp of a sibilant "S", but also some ValleyGirl intonations. Originally I thought he might be a little lite in the tasseled loafers.

Somewhat at odds with his reputation as a "Pit Bull" in the courtroom.

by Anonymousreply 89June 14, 2022 4:35 AM

I always thought Andrew was kind of cute. Would love to know if he's a "pit bull" in the bedroom.

by Anonymousreply 90June 14, 2022 5:18 AM

the recap tonight was kind of like watching a post-NFL game lol

It was fun seeing the biggest MSNBC names all together though. I noticed when Lawrence left and Ari came in, there were times he and Chris were looking at each other awkwardly

I bet Andrea Mitchell is jealous she's not included in the special primetime group

by Anonymousreply 91June 14, 2022 6:08 AM

Chris is a year older than Ari. You wouldn't know by looking at them tonight. Sure Chris has something of a baby-face, but his skin looks really good for 40. His tan is extremely continuous tone, I'm wondering how much is natural, how much is make-up.

by Anonymousreply 92June 14, 2022 7:11 AM

^^ 43.

by Anonymousreply 93June 14, 2022 7:13 AM

In one of the recorded testimonies from today's hearing, one of the witnesses had, along with other wall art behind him, a black baseball bat with the word JUSTICE painted on it.

Struck me as a odd message to introduce into the hearings, from a witness who was focused on an "orderly transition".

He was also kind of hot.

I wonder which MSNBC personality has the biggest cock.

by Anonymousreply 97June 14, 2022 11:17 AM

I just love this format of having a panel to discuss the news of the day. I believe the most popular show on FOX now is the Greg Gutfield show which I don't watch but know is a group of Fox hosts in easy chairs.

MSNBC this is how you should fill the 9 PM hour.

by Anonymousreply 98June 14, 2022 11:51 AM

That would be Rachel Maddow.

by Anonymousreply 100June 14, 2022 4:13 PM

Andrea doesn't mind, R91. She has been asleep for at least two hours by then having finished up dinner at 4:30.

by Anonymousreply 101June 14, 2022 6:19 PM

It was Andrea Mitchell who got Chuck Todd hired at MSNBC. Also Katy Tur, Kasie Hunt and Mika B. They need to retire Mrs. Greenspan and fire all her minions.

by Anonymousreply 102June 14, 2022 6:37 PM

R98, I think that's a very good idea.

by Anonymousreply 103June 14, 2022 6:40 PM

I miss making fun of Kasey Hunt!

by Anonymousreply 104June 14, 2022 7:47 PM

I would certainly watch a nightly MSNBC all-star panel, R98. May I suggest the following names for consideration:

Claire McCaskill;

Michael Steele;

Betsy Woodruff Swann;

Juanita Tolliver; and

Tim Miller.

by Anonymousreply 105June 14, 2022 8:46 PM

R105 that dynamic works best with everyone in the same room, Your list has Claire from St. Louis, Michael Steele from Baltimore, Betsy Swan from DC, Juanita form NYC, and Tim Miller from SF.

I really don't care about the make up of the panel, it would probably stay fresher if the panel rotated amongst a large group of people any of those people could certainly appear when they were in NYC.

by Anonymousreply 106June 14, 2022 10:27 PM

Yes, it's really the dynamic of 5 or 6 smart talking heads all ad libbing together in the same room that works. It's the live and uncensored interaction that's fun. Enough with fucking zoom!

by Anonymousreply 107June 14, 2022 10:29 PM

I think Garrett has the biggest dick. Those tall guys are often packing down there.

by Anonymousreply 119June 16, 2022 4:49 PM

I just want to say I love Joy's new blonde do/wig and I hope she sticks with it for another year or two. She also seems to be going with more solid colors in her wardrobe which is another plus for me.

by Anonymousreply 120June 16, 2022 11:46 PM

Rachel Maddow is a real lipstick lesbian tonight 💋

by Anonymousreply 121June 17, 2022 12:04 AM

Chris Hayes is so outmatched by Rachel, Nicolle, Ari, and Lawrence on the July 6 Hearings special programming shows. He tries way too hard to make himself sound intelligent and informed.

by Anonymousreply 122June 17, 2022 12:24 AM

Something tells me Chris and Joy are never invited along for after-recap show drinks.

by Anonymousreply 123June 17, 2022 12:30 AM

by Anonymousreply 126June 17, 2022 1:21 AM

by Anonymousreply 127June 17, 2022 11:21 AM

Pence went seeking out anyone outside Trump's orbit who would tell him he could do what Trump wanted, he only decided not to violate the constitution when he could find zero experts who would agree with Trump. Then he waited until the absolute last minute to say he wouldn't bend to Trump's demands. If he had said so sooner the sacking of the Capitol Building might have been avoided, some of them might have thought why make the trip, Pence isn't going to do what we want.

Same with Judge Michael Luttig, claiming he would lay down in the road to stop Pence from violating the constitution. No one knew what Pence was going to do for sure until the last few minutes. If Luttig had gone on Fox News, saying what Trump wanted was bullshit who knows what effect that might have been, instead he did nothing.

Any Gadi sightings recently?

by Anonymousreply 132June 17, 2022 6:02 PM

Did Andrea have her breasts enlarged?

by Anonymousreply 133June 17, 2022 6:43 PM

No, r133, she just stopped teasing her hair so her breasts look bigger now in comparison.

by Anonymousreply 134June 17, 2022 6:59 PM
Any Gadi sightings recently?

Gadi has never been an MSNBC regular. He's mostly on NBC News, Peacock, and Snapchat.

by Anonymousreply 135June 17, 2022 9:00 PM

I wish he was mostly on my face.

by Anonymousreply 136June 17, 2022 9:45 PM

Betsy Woodruff Swan always sounds like she has an adenoid problem.

by Anonymousreply 138June 18, 2022 12:24 AM

Gadi is a real journalist. Not much need for those on the current version of MSNBC.

by Anonymousreply 139June 18, 2022 1:07 AM

I wonder how many dicks have been inside Andrea's 80 year-old pussy.

by Anonymousreply 140June 18, 2022 1:08 AM

Let's see. There was Cheney, Lugar, Armey, Gephardt, and maybe a few others.

by Anonymousreply 141June 18, 2022 1:37 AM

Last I saw Gadi he was reporting from El Salvador on the bitcoin crash, where people were no longer feeling the whole national crypto experiment thing. I think this was on CNBC.

Apparently he also has a twice-daily NBC news show on Snapchat?

by Anonymousreply 142June 18, 2022 8:49 AM

But how much snatch has Andrea lapped up over the years?

by Anonymousreply 143June 18, 2022 1:11 PM

Watching Vaughn on Velshi this morning and I am distracted by the thought of his beckoning, lightly furry coin slot.

by Anonymousreply 144June 18, 2022 1:31 PM

R122, I like Chris Hayes, but I agree with you. He rambles on too long trying to make a profound statement that goes nowhere. Rachel looks annoyed because he's talking too much, and it cuts down on her time in front of the camera. And no one cuts into Rachel's time to make her profound statements and observations.

by Anonymousreply 145June 18, 2022 1:51 PM

WHET Jonathan Swan? I'm not watching MSNBC as much as I used to? Am I just missing his appearances? Is he appearing on another network?

That man is fine!

by Anonymousreply 146June 18, 2022 1:58 PM

Instead of going out for drinks after work, Chris goes to the gym to build up his already huge chest and arms. He could snap Kinzinger and Schock easily as if they were twigs.

by Anonymousreply 147June 18, 2022 2:06 PM

I bet Chris Hayes has a luscious, tanned, fine ass.

by Anonymousreply 148June 18, 2022 3:07 PM

Jonathan Swan misses Trump. Axios is sensationalist reporting at best.

On My Face with Gadi Schwartz

by Anonymousreply 156June 19, 2022 3:54 PM

Don’t forget Morgan’s Chest.

by Anonymousreply 183June 21, 2022 1:08 AM

Nicolle will say bullshit but not pussy on air - when quoting someone else's comments. Pussy usually acceptable in other contexts, shit not so much.

I wonder if she would call someone a dick. Big/small dick energy seems to be gaining currency in everyday parlance.

As someone who likes dick, but has a small one, I steer away from using the term in most polite conversation.

by Anonymousreply 184June 21, 2022 1:59 AM

Lawrence looked like he wanted to bang that Pussy Riot girl on his show tonight. He's had her on via video chata several times over the years.

by Anonymousreply 185June 21, 2022 5:50 AM

The Pussy Riot girls were kind of seductive. In a surly curled lip kind of way.

by Anonymousreply 186June 21, 2022 8:22 AM

The fag who botched Rachel's makeup last night should get fired. Moron.

by Anonymousreply 187June 21, 2022 8:24 AM

R187 My. I'll have to go back and review. I rarely look at the screen when it's on.

by Anonymousreply 188June 21, 2022 8:30 AM

Nicolle's been mentioned a couple times so I feel I need to get this out of my system. I. Love. Her.

I'm gay but if I had met he in Junior High School my life might have turned out completely different. She's smart, beautiful, poised, funny and just keeps getting better. It always seems like her male guests have crushes on her, (especially John Heilleman). I was elated when reading Game Change that she really had nothing to do with the selection of Sarah Palin, (though people often mistakenly credit her). And if she had, I forgive her!

Oh, and I totally agree with the poster upthread. I watched Lawrence. He definitely wanted to get into her pussy panties.

What is so amusing, Nicolle? I can't help but think you're laughing at the MSNBC viewing audience.

I have to say that normally Jason Johnson's rants tend to annoy me, while I don't tend to disagree with his point his presentation is over the top, but I was totally agreeing with him defending Ruby Johnson. I said the exact same thing yesterday in the "is Mike Pence a hero" and I said no Ruby Johnson is a hero, Pence has protection, Ruby and her daughter had none. Ruby did the right thing under thread from the start to the finish, Pence attempt to find any legal reason to over turn the election.

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 211June 22, 2022 8:22 AM

I agree with Jason Johnson on Morning Joe earlier who said people like Rusty Bowers aren't examples of Profiles in Courage because up until that point, they supported Trump.

Johnson argued that Trump had been doing some variation of that since he ran for president, including encouraging violence against all sorts of people at his rallies, naming names on Twitter and calling people out.

Johnson said people like Rusty Bowers basically had a Meatloaf moment where they'll do anything for Trump, but that won't do that.

In contrast, the really courageous people were those like Shaye Moss and her grandmother - regular people who didn't have security and have paid people to protect them from the MAGA mob who made their lives miserable.

by Anonymousreply 212June 22, 2022 11:31 AM

R212 it is even worse than the mob, a Kanye West publicist went to the home of Ruby Johnson and told her "confess to Trump’s voter-fraud allegations, or people would come to her home in 48 hours, and she’d go to jail."

Am I the only one who wishes Rachel would just completely leave MSNBC? Appearing once a week is unnecessary, burdensome, and annoying.

by Anonymousreply 215June 22, 2022 1:20 PM

I wish Rachel had her own daily long form podcast, especially at the moment with the hearings.

by Anonymousreply 216June 22, 2022 2:28 PM

How much time would Chris Matthews be devoting/wasting to the "correct" pronunciation of "Cheney" (his insisting on it being with a long first "e")?

Still, I miss him.

by Anonymousreply 217June 22, 2022 2:29 PM

And Rachel seems pissed that the hearings are throwing a wrench into her side-hustle time. So indignant/chagrined that they are making her do A WEDNESDAY!

I have never seen a Lesbian get the vapors.

by Anonymousreply 218June 22, 2022 2:46 PM

r218 If Rachel no longer wanted to do her show, she should have just left and had a clean break.

by Anonymousreply 219June 22, 2022 2:48 PM

by Anonymousreply 220June 22, 2022 2:53 PM

Jason Johnson is one of the worst bigots on MSNBC. I'm tired of his stupid rants.

by Anonymousreply 221June 22, 2022 2:55 PM

Jason Johnson is also one of the ugliest creatures currently on MSNBC.

I miss him too. Chris Matthews was old, weird, talked over his guests, and you always worried that he would say or do something completely inappropriate on the air. Still, he was infinitely better than Joy Reid, who replaced him.

by Anonymousreply 223June 22, 2022 3:22 PM

I don't miss Chris Matthews glad he is gone even though I rarely watched his show or his replacement Joy but he would pop up on Morning Joe and numerous other shows.

by Anonymousreply 239June 23, 2022 3:20 AM

More importantly, it seems to have taken a toll on his brain cells, R211:
June 22, 2022, 12:27 PM PDT; By Hayes Brown, MSNBC Opinion Columnist
Arizona House Speaker Russell “Rusty” Bowers’ voice wavered as he spoke to the House Jan. 6 committee Tuesday about his belief in a divinely inspired Constitution. His conviction was clear when describing the offense he took at former President Donald Trump asking him to break the law. In testimony that’s being likened to Jimmy Stewart in “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” Bowers said violating the Constitution “because somebody just asked me to is foreign to my very being.”
Like the fellow Republicans who joined him on Tuesday’s panel, Bowers was willing to speak the taboo that has condemned so many of Republicans: Trump lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden and tried to persuade officials like Bowers to help him illegally stay in office. But Bowers stood out for his simple yet eloquent musings on the nature of courage and democracy.
It was easy to get lost in the moment that Bowers created — but then reality comes crashing in. In an interview with the Associated Press, Bowers said of Trump: “If he is the nominee, if he was up against Biden, I’d vote for him again. Simply because what he did the first time, before Covid, was so good for the country. In my view it was great.”
Those three short sentences burn away the patina of bravery that Bowers had cloaked himself in and undoes any of the admiration I’d had for him as he testified on Tuesday. Because what is the point of a principle if it is only adhered to in moments of extreme duress? What does it say that once the moment of danger has passed, the driving force behind that danger is once again welcomed with open arms?...

by Anonymousreply 240June 23, 2022 5:07 AM

by Anonymousreply 261June 23, 2022 10:01 PM

The Post's Jackie Alemany got it wrong on Nicole's show. In the context of talking about whether the January 6 committee would entertain Mo Brook's demand that he testify only live before the panel. She said that Alexander Butterfield revealed his knowledge of the White House taping operation to the Senate Watergate committee. That it hadn't come up before his live testimony. That's erroneous history.

R266: Please take that woman wardrobe shopping. WTF is that messy umbrella-print blouse? She needs a fashion intervention. Chris? Rachel? Anyone?

by Anonymousreply 267June 23, 2022 11:52 PM

^for clarity, Chris Jansing @ my r267, above (though even straight male Chris Hayes has a better fashion sense than Joy's).

by Anonymousreply 268June 23, 2022 11:58 PM

Maddow time!

by Anonymousreply 269June 24, 2022 12:00 AM

I like Rachel because she never confuses superiorly (located above something) with superiority

by Anonymousreply 270June 24, 2022 4:48 AM

I wonder where Chris Hayes was tonight. He wasn't in with the group recap of today's hearing. Ari sat in his place and then when Lawrence left to prepare for his show, Stephanie stayed in his seat. Previously, Ari and Stephanie both took turns filling in for Lawrence after he left

by Anonymousreply 271June 24, 2022 5:25 AM
I wonder where Chris Hayes was tonight

Thursdays, legs & glutes. Priorities.

by Anonymousreply 272June 24, 2022 10:07 AM

Unlike the other on-air talent respecting the solemn tone following Roe's reversal, jackass Nicolle Wallace is yucking it up and flashing her horse teeth at every inappropriate turn.

Fox News, make her an offer.

by Anonymousreply 273June 24, 2022 9:50 PM

She really can’t stop smiling today

Blink S.O.S. if you need rescuing, Mike.

Free Mike Schmidt! Free Mike Schmidt!

by Anonymousreply 275June 24, 2022 10:08 PM

It’s a big news day—Rachel is working tonight!

by Anonymousreply 276June 24, 2022 10:23 PM

Rachel tonight.

by Anonymousreply 277June 24, 2022 10:56 PM
I wonder where Chris Hayes was tonight.

He's been very good on Twitter today.

by Anonymousreply 278June 24, 2022 10:58 PM

Will not be watching cable news tonight. Don't need the hyperventilating.

by Anonymousreply 279June 24, 2022 11:26 PM

Does anybody still give a shit about Rachel? She’s over, and needs to learn to read a room.

by Anonymousreply 280June 24, 2022 11:28 PM

Rachel has an incessant need to be the smartest person in the room. Don't need that shit.

by Anonymousreply 281June 24, 2022 11:30 PM

We don’t need Symone either.

by Anonymousreply 282June 24, 2022 11:48 PM

Can Chris Hayes please stop shouting all the time? Does he think it makes him sound smart, or is it his apparent immaturity coming out? Settle down guy.

by Anonymousreply 283June 25, 2022 12:07 AM

Rachel will be on tonight.

by Anonymousreply 284June 25, 2022 12:16 AM

Rachel on a FRIDAY!!!!!

One fierce Lesbian.

by Anonymousreply 285June 25, 2022 12:37 AM

Okay, so Rachel DOES work M-F or….?

I mean, can we really hate that she makes all this money and chooses her schedule? Can’t hate, but we dislike inconsistent TV.

She’s now MSNBC’s lead anchor/personality/whatever. But watching those Congressional hearing recaps felt like watching a B team all night long….

by Anonymousreply 286June 25, 2022 1:07 AM

Rachel's hair looks great tonight.

by Anonymousreply 287June 25, 2022 1:09 AM
Rachel has an incessant need to be the smartest person in the room.

It's not a need.

It just happens.

by Anonymousreply 288June 25, 2022 1:20 AM
She’s now MSNBC’s lead anchor/personality/whatever.

I'm trying to remember a time when that has not been the case.

by Anonymousreply 289June 25, 2022 7:29 AM

Lawrence O’Donnell was on fire 🔥 last night!!!!

by Anonymousreply 290June 25, 2022 1:59 PM

Tiffany Cross is awful. Short on facts, big on indignation.

by Anonymousreply 291June 25, 2022 3:52 PM

She’s not worse than Symone.

by Anonymousreply 292June 25, 2022 4:29 PM

Shermichael Singleton is an argumentative repuglican to whom MSNBC should stop giving an audience. Why waste valuable liberal airspace by allowing this fool to spout his nonsense?

by Anonymousreply 293June 25, 2022 4:30 PM

R293, what did he say? I haven't seen him in a long time but the last time I did, I thought he was anti-Trump (but maybe that's no longer the case).

by Anonymousreply 294June 25, 2022 6:16 PM

ugh that ugly Ashley Parker.

by Anonymousreply 295June 27, 2022 9:39 AM

MSNBC Taps Alex Wagner as Rachel Maddow’s Successor:

Offsite Link
by Anonymousreply 296June 27, 2022 5:19 PM

Well, that's truly exciting news, r296!

by Anonymousreply 297June 27, 2022 5:37 PM

Was watching Jill Wine-Banks late last week, and suddenly was struck by her resemblance to Katherine Kelly Lang ("Brooke" on B&B).

by Anonymousreply 298June 27, 2022 5:52 PM

I like Alex Wagner, I find her calming.

by Anonymousreply 299June 27, 2022 5:52 PM

Alex Wagner is tremendous! Love her!

by Anonymousreply 300June 27, 2022 6:04 PM

I love Alex Wagner, but she had a show on MSNBC before and it was cancelled due to bad ratings. It was during the day time so maybe Rachel's evening audience will embrace her.

by Anonymousreply 301June 27, 2022 7:58 PM

Nicolle Wallace is back in the basement doing her show remote. The hair and makeup say it all!!

by Anonymousreply 302June 27, 2022 8:01 PM

I watched Joy Reid on Friday. I actually like the short blonde ‘do on her.

by Anonymousreply 303June 27, 2022 8:04 PM

Oh Nicolle’s husband Mike Schmidt is in the next room on her show!

by Anonymousreply 304June 27, 2022 8:05 PM

Nicolle is getting off on this new 1/6 hearing!!

by Anonymousreply 305June 27, 2022 8:18 PM

Though he's been doing it for a while now, I always find it mildly shocking that ABC allows Jonathan Carl to appear on MSNBC and give commentary on the day's news.

by Anonymousreply 306June 27, 2022 8:20 PM

Sorry, I meant Karl, not Carl.

by Anonymousreply 307June 27, 2022 8:30 PM

I love Alex but I do wonder if her show will be more neutral on her views a la Steve Kornacki (which is how I think of her) or more opinionated a la Nicolle, Joy and Rachel?

by Anonymousreply 308June 27, 2022 9:14 PM

Nicolle is clearly sitting outside the White House, r302! Albeit without makeup. Whattayatalkinabout??

by Anonymousreply 309June 27, 2022 9:15 PM

Bravo to Tim Miller's new stylist! He's looking mighty fine. Great hair and tan. Hard to believe he was ever a Repug.....or is the delicate string of pearls a leftover from those days?

by Anonymousreply 310June 27, 2022 9:17 PM
I love Alex but I do wonder if her show will be more neutral on her views a la Steve Kornacki (which is how I think of her) or more opinionated a la Nicolle, Joy and Rachel?

It is going to be Rachel's production team, I doubt it will be much different than when Rachel has someone subbing for her. Same material just a different delivery.

by Anonymousreply 311June 27, 2022 9:39 PM

I'm not so sure, r311, though I do hope you're right. I like some righteous anger at 9 pm. We'll soon see.....

by Anonymousreply 312June 27, 2022 9:41 PM

Stephanie Ruhle must go. Too perky. Too shallow.

by Anonymousreply 313June 27, 2022 10:51 PM

Please come back, Brian Williams. I loved the soothing way you tucked us in for the night.

by Anonymousreply 314June 28, 2022 12:42 AM

R314 I miss him, too.

by Anonymousreply 315June 28, 2022 4:28 PM

Nicolle’s show is a little wacky today in that control room!

by Anonymousreply 316June 28, 2022 9:54 PM

What is up with Joy’s makeup and hair tonight?

by Anonymousreply 317June 28, 2022 11:52 PM

I've been meaning to ask this for quite some time. Why does Rachel always only wear black?

by Anonymousreply 318June 29, 2022 12:11 AM

Unlike joy, she wants people to pay attention to what she says, not what she is wearing.

by Anonymousreply 319June 29, 2022 2:22 AM

R317: Sad, isn't it? Some "head stylist" is attempting a hybrid coiffure for that Reid woman. He bleached her hair and slapped a similarly colored wiglet atop, then tried to blend the two. Sadly, someone forgot to straighten her hair to match the hairpiece's texture, leaving nappy patches colliding with smooth. What a mess.

And don't even get me started on her "kitchen!"

by Anonymousreply 320June 29, 2022 3:04 AM

I've been wondering why we haven't seen Andrew Weissmann in a while (even Googled to see if he got a CNN gig or something), and, whaddya know, here he is on Last Word for the 2nd night in a row!

by Anonymousreply 321June 29, 2022 3:43 AM

Andrew W. seems to live in a vast penthouse which he loves to show off as he moves from room to room for each show. I love his dog bed!

by Anonymousreply 322June 29, 2022 4:27 AM

Peter Alexander is a fucking joke this morning.

Access “journalist” desperate for those clickbait likes.

by Anonymousreply 323June 29, 2022 9:22 AM

Drink everytime Mika says—Know Your Value!

by Anonymousreply 324June 29, 2022 10:03 AM

Drink every time Mika sighs - and you'll end up at the Betty Ford Clinic with Lizsha.

by Anonymousreply 325June 29, 2022 10:10 AM

Yamiche Alcindor needs to lose weight and get fit. Time after time the poor dear is out of breath by the second sentence into her statement.

Imagine the confusion should she keel over during "Andrea Mitchel Reports!"

by Anonymousreply 326June 30, 2022 5:28 PM

Get Andrea off the air now! That old bitch can’t talk!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 327July 1, 2022 4:16 PM

Did someone change her meds?

Have they put her an Adderall?

by Anonymousreply 328July 1, 2022 4:18 PM

Andrea, spell it out girl.

You are fucking killing us slowly!!!

by Anonymousreply 329July 1, 2022 4:39 PM

Nicolle Wallace on Joy mentioned her husband 2x—-and Chick-Fil-A too!

Poor Michael Schmidt Wallace!

by Anonymousreply 330July 1, 2022 11:57 PM

So sad to hear that she left the Republicans but not Chick-Fil-A.

by Anonymousreply 331July 2, 2022 12:00 AM

Andrew Weissman!!!! He is Back!

by Anonymousreply 332July 2, 2022 1:16 AM

And gayer than ever....

by Anonymousreply 333July 2, 2022 1:31 AM

Welcome Guad Venegas! Happy Independence Day!

Is he just new to me?

by Anonymousreply 334July 4, 2022 1:21 PM

Wondering the same about Steven Romo R334. Seems like holidays are good days to test new talent!

by Anonymousreply 335July 4, 2022 5:02 PM

Guad is sexy, I’m a fan. I bet he fucks good.

by Anonymousreply 337July 4, 2022 6:43 PM

That Chicago Spokesman is yummy!!

by Anonymousreply 338July 4, 2022 8:37 PM

Chris Hayes is on live tonight, covering today’s shooting in Illinois.

by Anonymousreply 339July 4, 2022 10:04 PM
Ben Rhodes mentioned his old apartment at DuPont Circle to Nicolle and Mike Schmidt today. Was he coming out?

Are you posting from the year 1983 or something? Dupont Circle (there is no big “P” in Dupont) has not been the center of gay life in D.C. for 15-20 years, if not longer. I think it all began when Ann Taylor moved onto Connecticut Avenue and the strollers began rolling in.

Your unfamiliarity with Washington shows.

by Anonymousreply 340July 5, 2022 2:10 PM

Get Andreá off the TV!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 341July 5, 2022 7:36 PM
Get Andreá off the TV!!!!!

Symone first!!!!

by Anonymousreply 342July 5, 2022 9:14 PM

Where is lazy Ari tonight??

by Anonymousreply 343July 5, 2022 10:35 PM

Rachel has the BEST contract. She only works Mondays and gets every Monday holiday off.

by Anonymousreply 344July 5, 2022 10:40 PM

The "Morning Joe" crew was riding Jake 💩 Sherman's appearance and attire hosting this morning's "Way Too Early." Did anyone see him? How was the little turd dressed? GerAnimals?

by Anonymousreply 345July 7, 2022 7:53 PM

Ashley Parker desperately needs help with her makeup! I wonder if Phil Rucker could step in?
