Jack and Kristina seem to remain committed to each other and their sons despite their marriage ending. They often appear on each other's instagram, so the family bond was strong...but not strong enough to withstand the allure of addiction.

I love that Kristina is back on GH in such a major way after all these years. Her charm and talents are unique and fun to watch. She deserves her own success outside of Jack's shadow.

Jack did a podcast interview a few weeks ago that offers insights into his career.

R27- A few years ago Jack was hospitalized- idk why- but she was there for him, so I believe they were still very supportive of each other too. She absolutely adored him. When left GH she had a difficult time finding their last scene together because she was so emotional, so sad to see him go. I always thought that was so touching. I stopped watching GH after they ruined Felicia's character and made her character into a selfish, neglectful mother who abandoned her daughters. Anyone who had watched from the beginning knew Felicia would have never done that. She was convincing and so touching during the heart transplant story. One of GH's best, most well written and acted storylines ever, imo. My heart goes out to them.

Both Jack and Kristina were (and largely still are) gorgeous, and the kids inherited their looks -- which doesn't always happen. It's funny to think of Kristina, who's can easily be seen as a Barbie type, is actually a documentary filmmaker.

I met the Wagner family at Tahoe. My family was there at the same time as the Celebrity Tournament. Kristina and Jack were separated but their two boys wanted to come - so Kristina came too. They were incredibly nice people. She was so down to earth. And yes we talked a little GH. She didn't want to do the Luke romance story. (My story is that far back.) Anyway, Jack also met my two boys at the snack place on the golf course. And he was great with them. Very funny guy.

Lots of celebs there, lots of big egos, but these two were very friendly.

In fairness Kristina Wagner had quit General Hospital multiple times throughout the years - way before Brian Frons and JFP hit the scene

During the Gloria Monty years and the Wendy Riche years - Kristina wasn't happy with her various storylines once Frisco was no longer on the show. She quit the show more than once, only to be lured back But once Daytime started losing its audience, the Felicia character became expendable - she was not the only character to get the axe, as budget cuts necessitated cast pare-downs

I will never forget the time when Felicia was away her character was a way, on a trip to Africa and Christina Wagner was actually visiting Africa during her absence. When Christina returned as Felicia after six weeks, she was still in Africa her character and there was a scene where she’s in a gift shop with her selling a ton of ivory products and she goes off and I remember as a kid thinking she really cares about elephants and is a good human being.

That the mother had just tweeted about selling the family ranch--the Wagner Ranch--they owned for over 20 years. The article also said something to imply that the son-- at 27 years old ?-- had just moved out. What that because the ranch sold? Were the parents trying to get the boys (adult men) to finally leave the nest and this triggered something to cause the tragedy? Did the Wagners have to sell the ranch due to money worries? The mothers tweets said such lovely things about the ranch after it sold, apparently just before the son died and around the time the son tweeted that odd thing about being alone with just his thoughts.
