If true, congratulations to him. I don't what you have to do to lose that amount of weight in four or five months (sounds like a crash diet), but he had gotten very, very fat.

as others have written in the endless threads about dieting, I wonder if he gained so much weight, waited so long to diet and is at an age where his skin will not pull back.

Really unfortunate, Venable had an amazing body decades ago and he just let it slip away over the years. I'm not saying he would still have that body, but he could have aged gracefully. Instead he went that poorly dyed hair, over spray tanned, and fat guy look.

That's a lot of weight to lose in such a short time.
