One of my best friends did that. When I met him I didnt see it coming, he was Asian so not exactly a macho persona. One day one of his friends convinced him to dress up in drag and go out to the bars. He suddenly go more attention as a woman than as a gay man. He was hooked. Not saying it caused it but it did seem to plant the seed. Months later he revealed to me he was hooking on the street with other woman. He was from a rich family, he didn't need the money. He told me it was the only way he could pick up straight guys. Of course I thought that was extremely dangerous and it was. While none of his tricks ever beat him up, 2 of his former "straight" boyfriends did. And they knew he was still a full man at that point.
He started taking hormones and got breast implants. Raw silicone injections in the hips from sketchy doctors in Mexico, cosmetic face surgery, artificially raising his voice. It took about 15 years but he eventually did go through with the surgery. Said it was the most painful thing she ever experienced. She already had a boyfriend at the time and they got legally married shortly after the surgery. Of course being a "real woman" she went into a very stereotypical 1950's idea of an Asian bride dolting after her husband. Takes no part in gay rights issues as she is "not gay". Husband is a big Trump loving Repug, we dont get along.
So after all that you would think she would be happy. Nope, drama still continues. Cheating on her husband with another married guy involved a physical dispute with the wife putting her in jail for 6 months. She's out now. Still with the same husband. He has a big ass chip on his shoulder, not supposed to talk about his wife who used to be a biological male. He's not comfortable with it and gets angry. When I visit, I have to pretend like it never happened in order to keep the peace in the house. That's where it's at if I still want to maintain the friendship.

r1 honey that bitch is crazy

The surgery is an abomination.

Yes R2, I have to take her with a grain of salt. Sadly, most of the others I have met seem just as crazy. Way before the surgery that is. They think that if some day they could just transition, all will be over. But it never is even for the ones who can afford it.

The other one I knew by the way was just a coworker. He made a big deal out of it. HR called the entire office into an emergency meeting, thought we were all going to be fired. Instead it was all about this guy transitioning. Basically this guy gave some letter for HR to read to the company about his struggles, bla, bla, bla.
Anyways, when he returned, we had to use his new female name, not what we knew him as. He was a tall white guy, with wide shoulders and a wig. Look pretty much like Kaitlyn without the fame. In fact, he was still married to a woman with kids. Same Kaitlyn bullshit too. Still attracted to woman, but would refused to call himself/herself a lesbian since in his own words he was now female. He was even hitting on the straight woman in the office and couldn't figure out why the were not into her.
Every trans person I have ever met seems to be messed up way before they discovered they had a gender issues. Almost like that's just a side effect of all the crazy shit and drama that's going on with them.

I started having sex with grown men at 13 yrs. of age. I had a draw full of slutty teenage girl clothes I'd put on and sneak out my bedroom window late at night. I was smallish, and small-boned with long hair and an exotic mixed race DNA gene pool to draw from. This was in the mid-1960s until 1971. I grew up in the upper-middle class suburban town of Fullerton Ca. not far from Disneyland There were packs of Marines from Camp Pendelton Marine Corps base hanging around Disneyland and it was very easy to get picked up and slither over to the Heidi Ho Inn and get my ass banged for hours and sometimes days without leaving the motel room. When I moved to Hollywood at 17 I dropped the drag but I was only interested in intensely masculine gay men and pretty little nelly gay boys weren't what they were looking for. In drag, I got all the macho men I wanted but those relationships were all on the sly. I thought no one would ever love me as a feminine gay guy, and I was right. Not trans. just a crossdresser to get laid..

I've known several. The most memorable was a black drag queen who my best friends (a mixed-race couple, which I only mention to avoid confusion) once set me up with. The four of us went on a one-night trip to Virginia Beach (we were poor), and he insisted on going out in full fish drag for our evening stroll on the boardwalk.
Of COURSE he did everything he could to good-heartedly, but brutally embarrass the other two. He feigned a lover's quarrel with one friend while the other was (within earshot) on a pay phone to let his mom know we'd arrived safely.
We were mere feet from the Ferris Wheel, and everyone waiting to ride it. Out of nowhere: "I can't believe you brought me here ALL THE WAY FROM CALIFORNIA to break up with me! I CUT MY DICK OFF FOR YOU!" I'd never seen a black man blush before, but I did that night. We still joke about that. Ultimately, it didn't work out between him and I, but we remained in occasional contact.
When not at the beach, he worked retail as a man during the day (Fashion Bug, or some such place in a barren small town strip mall). At night, he worked drag in the local and D.C. bars. Now, I never did figure out when he started drag, but he HAD to have been doing it since before he turned eighteen. I know for a fact that he was working as a drag queen before I was even legal to drink, and he was a bit younger than me. I guess his steel nerve and fake ID served him well.
Where D.C. was concerned, he was especially fond of Mr. P's, which isn't shocking, because he had a coke problem for a while, and the volume of drugs that went through there at the time was insane (it WAS D.C. after all). He actually offered me coke once, but I declined (it would be another six years before I'd work up the nerve to try it).
Anyway, he loved living as a drag queen, and didn't like his birth name, so after a time he went by the drag name all the time. Eventually, (about ten or so years after the beach incident), those same friends told me she was living as a full-time pre-op transsexual in West Hollywood. I later found out she was even featured in WEHO Confidential a few times, which is hilarious.
I wasn't surprised to see her in WEHO Confidential though, because she definitely had a nasty, sketchy side (theft, lies, drugs, prostitution, the usual). Back home, she'd exacted revenge on another drag queen by enlisting the help of third queen to steal and destroy a $25k Coco Vega gown. After they destroyed it, they threw it into the Potomac River. Of course, the owner of that gown had borrowed and stolen from many people to get it. So she felt their actions were justified.
She wasn't innocent either though, and lifted things all the time. Her kitchen was furnished in, and decorated with the items she regularly stole from Denny's after nights out performing: menus, laminated promo sheets, mugs, plates, flatware...all if it stolen from Denny's.
And speaking of sketchy, twice I was invited to go to D.C. and twice she left me at her own apartment because things didn't work out with me tagging along. I spent those two nights drinking her liquor (especially the second time, because fuck her), and watching VHS copies of "Trick", and "Sister Act 2: Back In The Habit" on repeat.
I've tried searching for her a few times in the last few years, but only ever came up with decade-old links. At this point, I at least hope she's doing well.

Believe it or not, we have one working the cash register at our local Autozone. She's not even close to 'passing' what with the veiny manly hands and the scraggly dyed black hair, but she was pleasant enough and new how to put items in a bag.

I've worked with a quiet a few in my time.
One in particular I witnessed having to be comforted when someone on the door security said "Hello sir" to them on their way in to the office. They went on and on and on and on about it for hours. The oddest thing is they kind of passed. They didn't really look or sound male.
The vast majority I've worked with were not the stereotypical trans loons, they just wanted a quiet life. Although they did all seem a bit obsessed with gender neutral toilets.

This is another trans troll.
No gay man wants your pussy, even if you are a bearded lady.
