C’mon, no competition, really.

You mean Too Wong Foo showed Priscilla how drag should be done?

I think Priscilla is the better movie and more realistically showed drag life, but To Wong Foo was harmless fun. I still watch it sometimes when it pops up on cable.

Why didn't Too Wong Foo get an Oscar nomination for Costume Design (like Priscilla did and won)
I mean what did Priscilla have that Too Wong Foo didn't in terms of the drag outfits?

Considering Guy Pearce is straight, he plays gay really well!

The flip-flop dress.

Priscilla is by far a better movie in terms of quality of writing and acting, but I actually find Too Wong Foo more fun to watch. Priscilla is more realistic whereas TWF is more surrealist humor.

🙄🙄🙄🙄
I meant that Priscilla is the far better movie. No competition.

OP, it's To Wong Foo, taken from Julie's autograph to Mr. Foo.

Rupert Everett must be kicking himself for turning down the role of "Tick"

Priscilla is indeed a far better movie.
To Wong Foo had its moments but when it decided to become a Gays Come to Enlighten Women and Give Them All Makeovers it sorta went off the tracks.

Priscilla because it was darker.
But to be fair Too Wong Foo was going for a pg-13 rating

Oh come on Too Wong Foo is just more entertaining. Pricilla is darker and is a more quality film but Too Wong is a great watch.
I mean Patrick, Wesley, and John were all stellar at playing gay men as drag queens. And Wesley, famous for his black masculinity, playing Noxema was really out there, especially for a movie from 1995.

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is the better film overall.

Patrick Zwayze is amazing in Foo, a revelation. He used his dance background to full advantage as Vida.
But his is the only "realistic" performance in Foo. Wesley Snipes was way too buff, too big for the role and Leguizamo (I know people love him in this), never seemed to be a girl to me, but a guy trying to pass.
So my vote's for Priscilla - much more realistic across the board for characters.

Enjoy these films before I ban them!

They're both movies about blokes who dress up as exaggerated caricatures of women, and neither has aged well.
Drag is on a par with blackface.

The cocks in frocks on the Rock, by far.
