But Basic Instinct 2 was done on a VERY tight budget back in 2006 or so....Sharon Stone had already been paid her $14 mil and its possible the rest of the movie cost $15-20 million in total. (Don't believe any budget claims online, it was not a studio movie, a studio just distributed it, the producer was famous for pocketing as much as he could take and that movie had big financing issues).
