When law enforcement writes a search warrant they need to prove there's a. valid reason to search. They were found on his property and he lies about his whereabouts. They say stuff like his voice "can't be ruled out"

He was on probation for numerous DUIs and did not have a driver's license and wasn't allowed to drive. He drove to a bar, which violated probation.

This was a brutal crime and one of the girls was over 200 lbs.

R11, I truly don't know! Like I said, I obsessively follow this case, documentaries, podcasts. I really though it was this guy named Chadwell. He looked like him and was a violent pedofile. Although one of the podcasters demonstrated the voice was not the same.

There's a lot of focus on this creepy father and son who both had access to a social media account one of the girls was communicating with (and allegedly it was the last communication on her phone)

The son doesnt look like him. The father might, but some think the son shared the social media handle with others and that he might know who it is. So far, hes not talking.

LE have messed up a lot in this case, particularly not getting the video out.

Can't it still be Chadwell? I agree that Chadwell so far has seemed like the best suspect. He hung about in the area, camping, sleeping under bridges as well.

Of course, it could be some random killer who was just passing through.

I cant find interviews, but both the sheriff and state police spox have confirmed the man on the bridge is the one who says guys down the hill and killed them. This article has some info. But there are interviews on YouTube where LE at least confirm that.

I will try and post the link if I can find it again but I was trying to catch up on this case as I never really spent time reading up on it and why such a big mystery/silence about how they were killed. Came across a New Zealand reporter what looked to be a publication there and they said more than they are saying here - that the bodies were posed and that the killer left a “signature” on both bodies. The article intimated that it was satanic ritual in nature. Chills from reading this!

If you’re going to be that hyper sensitive on a snark site then you should have come up with ALL the reasons why they police sometimes don’t release the details of death. Having worked in crime reporting, the other reasons include extremely grisly manners of death, including ritualistic killings which are deemed just too disturbing or disruptive to society to publish in MSM, a fear of copy cats, and also it is done at times because police have made errors right away at the crime scene and they are covering their butts for later in the investigation. In the last case they often end up holding back so much that it hinders the ability for the public to help out. That’s why I started my post the way I did stating I wanted to understand more about why.

Another example of this is the fact that the video one of the girls took of the suspect is actually 40 seconds long. And only that maybe 4 seconds of him saying “girls down there” was shown to the public. I while I doubt they would have ever wanted to play it all, what has been released is barely enough for anyone to identify him.

I’ve always thought he that guy was just some antisocial guy that never gets out of his parents basement type thing and trolls the internet trying to get girls to send him nudes. I disagree, [R40]. These girls looked like young 14 year olds, inexperienced and insecure. They knew they were breaking a law by walking over the bridge - CMIIW, weren’t signs up stating it wasn’t safe to walk on and no trespassing. If these two were were alone in the middle of the woods and some guy tells them they aren’t supposed to be there, they were probably just trying to avoid getting in trouble and we’re compliant hoping to just escape the situation.

No, the remaining articles of clothing have not been found. LE has stated they believe the killer(s) took items as trophies, but LE did not specify if they meant articles of clothing or other items.

Yes, DNA material was found at the scene. Obviously it has been matched to no suspect thus far. There is speculation the material was only partial, but LE isn't saying.

It's a fair bet the Anthony Shots catfishing account was the nexus or entry point for the killer(s). But numerous people could have accessed/had access to that account.

There is a long transcript readable online of LE interview(s) with Kevin Kline. There is a strong inference reading the whole thing that KK could not have been the killer. Perhaps he was a secondary figure at the scene, but from this material it seems unlikely he could have executed this on his own. Between the lines, it's inferable that LE is trying to get KK to implicate his father, a truly nasty character who had access to the Anthony Shots catfishing account, and has a history of violence against women.

But again, there is no shortage of people who could have accessed that AS catfishing account.

If DNA was found, wouldn’t LE have collected DNA from suspects via going through their trash or following and waiting for them to toss a cigarette butt or straw?

When Logan died they could have taken a DNA sample to compare to the DNA found at the crime scene. I would have/could have been solved if it was Logan.

Re DNA they did find undergarments, but in the water, so I don't know if that's useful. The other issue is all of the volunteer searchers' DNA contaminated the scene.

Logan's prior offenses are mostly DUI and driving without license (which he was doing that day!)

There's a video interview with Abby's mom who saw (at least part) of the video. She said he says "guys" and the girls (this part has been cut out) say "huh?" and then he says " down the hill"

And any DNA was compromised because the crime scene was not properly secured by the small town keystone cops and had a billion volunteers and searchers all over the place. But the people with no better theory about who did it …still refuse to believe it was him.

And that doesn’t mean he acted alone but likely did. It’s been stated whoever did it was covered in blood because it was such a grisly scene. Loving on this guy’s property would make it a lot easier to clean up and destroy clothing etc.

Witnesses described the killer's hat as a painter's cap. Ron Logan's hat is not a match. The witnesses all say Logan on TV after the murders and none of them said he was the killer. Ron doesn't match the height/body/voice. Move on from Ron.

When I was going away to school or maybe it was a little before that age my father gave me a safety talk. One part of it I will never forget was that he said to me if someone tries to abduct you then scream, fight , poke them in the eyes, bite do anything to escape and don’t listen to them or follow their instructions or go along with them. Fight to the death to not be abducted because the reality is that if they are trying to abduct you, they will likely be planning to kill you anyway (and let’s face it after doing things that will make you wish you were dead anyway). That being said, a self defense court might help in that regard.

Wouldn’t have helped these girls as they were in an isolated area, but a course I took with tips said to scream fire! Instead of help as everyone wants to be a hero and runs to see where the fire is but hearing a woman scream help just scares people and many won’t come to the rescue.

A podcast called the Murder Sheet consists of a husband wife team who live in Indiana. She's a journalist, he's a lawyer. They broke the news about the catfishing angle after he was able to get some court documents. They have had 2 shows this week:

1) first show was mostly discussing the Larry Nassar/gymnastics sex abuse scandal. Weird but they discussed it because 2 FBI officers there covered up for Nassar (one wanted a job with national gymnastics) and that was the division involved in the Delphi case. They're not suggesting cover up in Delphi but ineptness and lack of accountability is something to keep in mind.

And it turns out they screwed up: the FBI was charged with getting surveillance tapes. They went to a gas station a mile or two from the crime scene. The FBI thumb drive didn't work. The station gave them the hard drive. FBI returned the hard drive apparently without getting the footage.

Turns out the catfish guy was searching for that gas station on his phone.

2) the 2nd show is about a tip they got about catfish guy. He lived in a town called Peru and has been in county jail. Court filing revealed he has been temporarily put into State custody and will be returned to county custody at a later time.

At the same time he's in state custody a major search is going on in a river and surrounding environs nearby. Offiical word is that it is a training exercise but these podcasters have tips it's related to catfish guy (he's in jail for child sexual abuse materials) and it's perhaps Delphi-related.

I don't think it's this particular guy (he doesn't look like the killer) but someone around him

I knew he was communicating with one of the girls the day or night before (posing as the Anthony Shotz guy) but this is the first time I have ever read that he specifically made plans to meet with her on the bridge the next day.

This case is particularly hard to follow because the police have given so little to the media. It’s hard to tell what is fact and what is just people making assumptions that turn into “facts”. I find that more with this case than any other expect for the job benet one.

Kegan apparently confessed to waiting in his dad's car while the murders happened. Possibly being the man on the bridge who used a gun to lead the girls to the other side of creek where his dad was waiting and then Kegan left. The father then killed them and threw the knife in the bridge in Peru where they live. After a month of searching the river several minutes from the Klines, they stopped and may have recovered the murder weapon. The father burned his clothes in the back yard.

I'd say, "I don't believe in coincidence," and it has to be someone with access to the catfish account. And that is where my bet still goes. But this case abounds with stranger-than-fiction coincidences. Not least the truly mind-boggling number of highly credible suspects in a radius of just a couple miles.

The sitting in the car claim was released by the podcast Murder Sheets, run by a journalist and a lawyer. They are getting a lot of criticism for releasing a transcript meant to be sealed, but briefly public; a search warrant for this Ron Logan person. They were found on his property so of course in the early days they searched his property. MS was criticized for that since the search warrant indicates murder weapons and that can hurt the case. Other podcasters are accusing them of releasing confidential info that hurts the case.

Ron Logan's whereabouts were confirmed. If you put an image of him next to the younger looking Bridge Guy, I don't see it although I don't see it with the Klines either.

I've followed this case more than I should and could share a lot that has been corroberated among various social media channels, as well as the Keefan transcripts, but understood about the veracity of either.

For instance, local news reported the search being "possibly related" to the Delphi case; I would think they'd need to have some backup to say that. And Keegan admitted in an interview he was told by cops he was the last to contact Libby and that's confirmed in the transcript. I forget if the fact he sent money to her was covered in the transcript but that's out there too.

The police did a search warrant of Tony's mom's house for a fire pit where evidence was burned (assuming Kegan is the one who revealed this). Police found something in the river after 5 weeks, but wasn't murder weapon. Likely burner phone.

I had to stop following this case because it is so frustrating that after all of this time no information has been released and the murderer has had not been revealed. I believe the old man killed them but I suppose we will never be told who killed those young girls. This case was badly handled from the beginning. All of the secretly only shielded the killer or killers. This should not be allowed in a murder investigation. The public has a right to be informed. A very dangerous killer is out there, unless he is dead, and the public has right to know.

Court TV just announced that an arrest has been made in this case, but the name will not be released until Monday. Wtf?

So the presser didn't provide much other than he was arrested and charged with this crime. Doug Carter, head of Indiana State Police and a big drama queen with a horrible sniffing problem, droned on to say he couldn't say anything. Everything is sealed.
