I still love The Eagles' Lyin' Eyes. So evocative. I knew that girl in high school, (probably everyone did).
And I hate Hotel California as much as the other OP.

Material Girl.
I should hate it after all this time, but it still makes me smile, and makes me remember when Madonna was new and fresh and fun. Not the (fill in the blank) we now know.

One of the most iconic songs of the 1960's and one of my all time favorites, These Boots Are Made For Walkin' by Nancy Sinatra. Never tire of it!!

Yes, they sold out to tv shows and commercials, but I still never tire of hearing it. Especially it's iconic opening.

I feel like none of these are "classic rock" songs. They are good, but they are "soft rock" or "new wave" or "pop" songs.

Keeping with the idea of kosher "classic rock" (I agree with many of the commented songs but also the comment that those songs aren't really classic rock),
I just adore the Neil Young song "My My, Hey Hey (Out of the Blue)." I don't feel this way about any of his other songs.
"Mr. Roboto" by Styx.
"The Chain" and "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac.
"November Rain" by Guns N' Roses. I know, I know.
I generally love any song by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Roy Orbison and Elvis.
The catalogs of Jimi Hendrix, Queen, The Doors, and Pink Floyd are hit or miss.
I love Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel's early work.

Neil Young's "Old Man".
I don't know if it can be considered classic, but I stop whatever I'm doing and listen (still) whenever it comes on.

R12 There's not really a hard/black and white definition or line between Rock and Soft Rock / Pop. The lines are pretty blurred.

Night Moves, love the lyrics.
I was a little too tall, could've used a few pounds Tight pants points hardly renown She was a black-haired beauty with big dark eyes And points all her own sitting way up high Way up firm and high
Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy Out in the back seat of my sixty Chevy Workin' on mysteries without any clues Workin' on our night moves Trying' to make some front page drive-in news Workin' on our night moves In the summertime In the sweet summertime
We weren't in love, oh no, far from it We weren't searching for some pie in the sky summit We were just young and restless and bored Living by the sword And we'd steal away every chance we could To the backroom, the alley, the trusty woods I used her she used me, but neither one cared We were getting our share
Workin' on our night moves Trying to lose the awkward teenage blues Workin' on out night moves And it was summertime Sweet summertime, summertime
And oh, the wonder Felt the lightning Yeah, and we waited on the thunder Waited on the thunder
I woke last night to the sound of thunder How far-off, I sat and wondered Started humming a song from nineteen-sixty-two Ain't it funny how the night moves? When you just don't seem to have as much to lose Strange how the night moves With autumn closing in
Hmm, night moves (Night moves) night moves (Night moves) yeah (Night moves) night moves (Night moves) I remember the night moves (Night moves) ain't it funny how you remember? (Night moves) funny how you remember (Night moves) I remember, I remember, I remember, I remember (Night moves) oh (Night moves) move away (Night moves) we're gonna practice, love (Night moves) night moves (Night moves) oh, I remember (Night moves) yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember (Night moves) oh, I remember (Night moves) god, I remember (Night moves) lord, I remember
Oh, woman, oh, yeah, yeah, uh-huh, I remember, I remember

I just heard it the other day. Good song. ;)

Glad to see Bad Company mentioned, they were huge in the 70s but not really remembered. I went through a nostalgic phase of listening to their first few albums a while ago and they all held up--basic blues rock with a great lead singer. I'll add Runnin with the Pack and Ready for Love as ones I never tire of hearing.

Take the Long Way Home - Supertramp
I love this dong. It's so melancholic.
'Cause you're the joke of the neighborhood Why should you care if you're feelin' good? Well, take the long way home Take the long way home
There are times that you feel you're part of the scenery All the greenery is comin' down, boy And then your wife seems to think you're part of the furniture Oh, it's peculiar, she used to be so nice
Does it feel that your life's become a catastrophe? Oh, it has to be, for you to grow, boy When you look through the years and see what you could have been Oh, what you might have been If you would have more time

I’m not much for metal but I love You’ve Got Another Thing Coming by Judas Priest. Good on Rob Halford for being a gay man in the homophobic world of hard rock. He’s the only one in the band with the good taste not to have the hair metal hairdo.

So many, but just this week had a moment. Browsing in a sunlit bookshop, 'American Pie' came on, and I waited till it finished I loved it so much. Not heard in ages, so all those brilliant words hit me afresh. (Must have got something in my eye. Mary.)
