Most athletes are allowed to cheat. They are tested constantly for STI's since they have team doctors who look after their health (and it makes sense just to test for that along with everything else). But like all of these celebrity cheating scandals, its totally unknown what the spouses have agreed to or what the boundaries on the marriages are. Once there's a story about cheating that goes public, they have to pretend like they are in a monogamous relationship and actual cheating occurred.
