Roll on, hot wheels!
Thank God. At least we got rid of one Nazi in the Republican party.

C'mon Hot Wheels! Join the circuit, it's really FUN!

Did anyone read last week's Politico piece on Cawthorn?
After reading that, and after his defeat last night, I predict suicide for Maddy.

Next: Marjorie "Man Hands" Greene and Lauren Bonobo.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 18, 2022 11:14 AM |
I bet poor Maddie needs some cumforting this morning. Okay, I'll do it!
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 18, 2022 11:18 AM |
Chuck Edwards has extremely unfortunate facial hair. That’s the goatee of a serial philanderer.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 18, 2022 11:21 AM |
What a moron this man is. In his twenties, almost completely ethics-free and thought-free and he manages to squander a political position which he could have occupied for the next 60 years.
All he had to do was hide his stupidity and pretend not to be a Nazi, and he couldn’t even manage that.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 18, 2022 11:26 AM |
He's a total nut.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 18, 2022 11:36 AM |
When you're too dumb for Republicans you're barely a life form
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 18, 2022 11:38 AM |
Next stop = Fox News.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 18, 2022 11:38 AM |
Does he get a generous pension for the rest of his life?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 18, 2022 11:39 AM |
I agree R5. I have been saying that he is going to crash and burn, that he's been doing everything he can to avoid facing up the reality that he is in a wheelchair the rest of his life and has no control over his bowels and bladder.
Chuck Edwards may be a very young looking 61--I say "may be" because it's likely that is a 10 year old photo that his campaign has put out.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 18, 2022 11:41 AM |
No, R14. He needs have worked/served for at least six years.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 18, 2022 11:42 AM |
His next job? Paraplegic Porn
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 18, 2022 11:45 AM |
The thing is, he had every advantage to stay for at least two terms, but he fucked it all up with his shitty work ethic (barely showed up for sessions and votes) and running his mouth (orgies, y'all!). He could've been the poster boy for the GOP's anti healthcare position (look, even this cripple ... uh, disabled conservative agrees with us!) for decades.

When does he leave office?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 18, 2022 11:50 AM |
What is sad is that the reasons he should have been kicked out - incompetent, immature, immoral - probably didn’t matter to mits Republicans. As long as he “owns the libs” they are happy.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 18, 2022 11:52 AM |
Pauvre, pauvre, minou.

by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 18, 2022 11:55 AM |
Maybe his cuz will throw him a sympathy heej.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 18, 2022 12:00 PM |
In a normal world, I would feel a modicum of sympathy for him but he’s spent years spewing his anger instead of seeking therapy and improving himself.

"A string of embarrassing incidents has led many to question whether the young congressman from North Carolina was really ready for the job."
This in not unlike commencing an opinion piece with: "A string of painful incidents has led many to question whether fucking a box full of broken glass was really a good idea."
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 18, 2022 12:44 PM |
It was the homo-looking stuff. Regardless how bad his successor is - and let’s face, the Republicans are a clown car of awful - he lost despite TRUMP’S endorsement. That to me speaks volumes.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 18, 2022 12:52 PM |
I wonder if they are going to have an office party for him when he leaves?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 18, 2022 1:28 PM |

WTF you gonna do, suck his non-functioning dick? Like tits on a bull, the only thing more useless on a man is a non-functioning cock. Oh wait, there is something more useless: a cock sucker who wants to suck a non-functioning cock.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 18, 2022 1:34 PM |
Of course he wasn't ready for the job. Anyone with half a brain would have known to keep his mouth shut and ride his looks and that wheelchair into a lifetime gig, but he was too full of himself and Kevin put him back in his place. Where else is a home schooled, college dropout with no other skills going to make $174,000 a year with premium healthcare. The gay implications didn't do him in, it was his own hubris. Or as the saying goes, his mouth kept writing checks that his ass couldn't cash.

From today's The Week, a brutal assessment:
"As a congressman, however, Cawthorn has become one of the most confrontational and fanatically Trumpist lawmakers in Washington. Politico conducted more than 70 interviews with people who know Cawthorn and emerged with "a picture of a man in crisis ... an immature college dropout with a thin work resume, a scofflaw and serial embellisher who was neither qualified nor prepared for the responsibility and the scrutiny that comes with the office he holds ... a person whose ongoing physical pain and insecurities have made him unusually susceptible to the twisted incentives of a political environment and a Trump-led GOP that prizes perhaps above all else outrage and partisan attack."
What has Cawthorn done with his time in office?
The list of Cawthorn's scandals, gaffes, and inflammatory remarks is long, especially for someone who has spent such a short time in office. They include:
Accusing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who doesn't drink, of being an alcoholic; Bringing a gun to an airport (twice); Bringing a large knife to a schoolboard meeting; Racking up multiple tickets for speeding and driving with a revoked license; Accusing his Capitol Hill colleagues of attending orgies and using cocaine; Dressing in lingerie during a racy game on a cruise ship; Rubbing his naked genitals on his cousin's head; Encouraging mothers to raise their sons to be "monsters"; Calling Dr. Anthony Fauci a "punk"; Calling President Biden a "geriatric despot"; Calling Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky a "thug"; Cleaning a gun during a virtual committee hearing; Misspelling Vice President Kamala Harris' name in a letter urging her to depose Biden; Lying about being accepted to Harvard, Princeton, and the U.S. Naval Academy; Publicly accusing the friend who helped pull him from a burning car of leaving him to die; Egging on the crowd at the rally that preceded the Jan. 6 Capitol riot; Allegedly engaging in insider trading; Allegedly sexually harassing multiple women."

by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 18, 2022 2:32 PM |

He's sure to be disappointed which is nice - he was fighting very hard to stay going from his twitter feed.

Maddie returns to the House to finish out his term, bringing the phrase “lame duck” to a whole new level.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 18, 2022 3:14 PM |
It's so predictable- he is going to pivot into a TV spot on a lesser deplorable network because Fox News viewers are done with his ignorant statements that are not based on truth.

Ten years from now I would love to see a southern gothic horror movie called "Whatever Happened To Madison Cawthorn?" with lines like "Lindsey, you wouldn't treat me like this if I weren't in this wheelchair!"
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 18, 2022 5:44 PM |
Won 't surprise me if he walks off, er I mean rolls off, the job before the end of his term. Face it, that boy ain't gonna do one damn thing for the people in his district between now and the end of the year. He'll do a Palin, and cut and roll.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 19, 2022 12:49 AM |
R31 - you think NC voters factored ANY of that into their decision? The old guard GOP who brought this campaign against him did so because he’s got loose lips. And they painted him as queer to his voters because they knew THAT’S what would do him in politically in NC.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 19, 2022 12:51 AM |
He's no Dennis Hastert.

by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 19, 2022 1:26 AM |
I kinda hoped he had won....He was nothing but an embarrassment for the republicans....It's not like he was gonna actually do anything in DC but make a fool of himself....And it's not like republican who is supposed to replace him won't be voting the same as Madison
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 19, 2022 1:38 AM |
Me. Edwards must have gone to Trump’s combover stylist.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 19, 2022 1:48 AM |
R36 They rejected him because they thought he was a homosexual, not because of his lies and ignorant statements. Lies and ignorant statements are Fox's (white) bread and butter.

It would surprise me since he has a reputation of being so incredibly lazy. Even as a lobbyist, he has to do not so glamorous work. He failed to make friends and connections in Washington (so any lobby job is out of the question), Fox News? Maybe, but again work ethics. As a persona non grata, he is not going to be taken care of by the GOP. He is going to experience first hand how the GOP deals with outcasts.
