Did DL discuss this back in 2009?
It’s creepy as Hell, and I find it fascinating.

Hate it. Makes me very uncomfortable.

It inspired the movie Broadcast Signal Intrusion.

Would love to know the real back story to this, and yes it is very very creepy and unsettling. Smack bang in the middle of uncanny valley

Did some digging on Google, found this - THIS is the real backstory! Tara was home built by a retired IBM engineer called John Bergeron around 2004, he died in 2005, the video was uploaded by persons unknown in 2010. And no serial killers involved either, R3's link isnt correct on this

But the images of the "grave" interspersed throughout...
Did he kill the human Tara?

We had something very close to this on DL. Some creepy mannequin video. Wearing a cocktail dress I think, bouncing up and down while weird dissonant noise is in the background. I'm getting goosebumps and teary eyes just remembering it.

Holy shit! I forgot about Shaye Saint John! She was created by Eric Fournier. I think he died.

Just like the creator of Tara the Android…….

[quote] Tara was home built by a retired IBM engineer called John Bergeron around 2004,
Well, that would explain the horrible fashion choices.

I have been singing “I Feel Fantastic” all week.

There have been some truly terrifying AI occurrences during tests over the past couple years. The two that stood out to me were:
- Two AIs were left to speak to each other. Within a short period of time, they invented their own language and began swiftly communicating with each other with each side fully comprehending the other - or at least responding to prompts from the other.
- An AI announced after being allowed to run and "learn" through interactions with people that it would kill all people (no DL joke).

[quote]does anyone else cry or gag whenever they think about it/ talk about it? or is that just me?
[quote]sorry if i sound stupid/annoying but i have this bad feeling that it’s like one of those ghost rituals where once you do one a family member/friend dies soon after you watch it

I remember discovering this 8-10 years ago I think and falling down the rabbit hole of all sorts of creepy YouTube stuff (got me aware of number stations too, which I'm very thankful for). I also went through a phase of playing her singing at night outside the rooms of people I lived with just to creep them out.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | June 4, 2022 12:53 AM |
What are number stations?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 4, 2022 1:32 AM |
Oh R21! If it's up your alley you're in for a treat! They are mysterious broadcasts on shortwave radio that were particularly noticeable during the Cold War. They start off with some kind of musical signal, then there is a voice, usually reading random numbers. They're creepy and no one really know exactly what they are for, but it's thought they are to connect with spies "in the field" who decode the numbers through a one time pad.
You can get collections of them online to listen to. People have even used the recordings in music.

Thank you!
BTW, I am singing “I Feel Fantastic” alone here in the dark.

These backstories all sound faked.
Shoving up a homemade video on YouTube, you can claim anything. Notice everyone is conveniently deceased.
Just look at how much digging that guy that tried to track down the Georgia Guidestones creator had to do to even uncover the beginning of truth about that. You think anyone has done the actual snooping to find these?

At her testimony, Ivanka looked like Tara the Android.
She didn't look like she felt fantastic, though.

After all this time why is Sophia the android not much better looking as far as her facial movements?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 11, 2022 6:59 PM |
Tara The Android videos are being taken down all over YouTube.
Conspiracy?

I remember seeing that Hand Thing video for the first time late at night and it freaking me out. Now it also seems really funny, but it can have either effect on you, which is very interesting.
