OMG ! We used to get high and watch that bitch and laugh our asses off ! Talk about delusions of grandeur. That girl just knew she was so talented. Her complete disregard of anything remotely resembling a key, her robotic movements, and amateurish attempts to physically interpret the lyrics (the miming of eating, or rubbing her belly to "you can't eat,) the incredibly unsexy attempts at seductive behavior, as well as the half hearted attempt at early Kate Bush [italic]Grand Guignol[/italic] style facial histrionics.

It is like a slow motion car crash that you just can't stop looking at. She is physically painful to listen to, but almost impossible to look away from. Her most effective skill is projecting an air of confidence, letting you know that she truly believes herself to be talented, despite possessing no talent whatsoever.

In the late 1980s, Prill started her first show on Jones Intercable channel 12 in Tampa. The show, simply titled My Show, featured Prill singing pop music covers in homemade music videos and performing comedy.[2] She would also perform the sign-off of channel 12 by singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" in front of a superimposed American flag, hugging herself and pretending to move in slow motion.[1]

On October 16, 1992 she performed at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center starring in her own event called Sultry Sondra: A Musical Fantasy.[3] At a price of $50 a ticket (double the rate established stars Al Green and Patti Labelle had charged at the same venue),[2] 41 paying attendees came to see her;[3] the official head count put the number of people in attendance closer to 70, with the vice president of marketing for the center concluding, "She might have comped some folks."[1] A reviewer considered that Prill set a new record for "the most abysmal entertainment event to ever take place in the Tampa area", and described her "unique way of handling a melody - a cross between the dulcet sound of setting one's hair on fire and sticking one's hand into a garbage disposal."[3] At the finale of the show, Prill had honey poured all over her,[3] in what seemed to be a literal interpretation of the lyrics to what she believed would be her breakthrough song, "Oh, You Sexpot Honey."[1] Prill wanted to do the finale nude, but the performing arts center required her to wear a body stocking. Brinson M. Harris, a remote producer for the event, said, "A backup singer walked out from backstage to say good night and to apologize to the audience."[1]

Prill's honey-pouring event was videotaped for public-access television, but Prill and her mother are believed to have destroyed the tapes before they made it to air.[1] Three episodes of My Show survive.[2] An attempt to locate Prill in 2007 was unsuccessful.[1]

Actually, she does better on the Star Spangled Banner than on any of the other songs. She is close to being in key, actually hitting the right notes from time to time, and didn't wind up completely butchering the high note, and only flubbed a small bit of the lyrics.

Not a great performance (the fist at the word fight, weirdly hugging herself at the end, still not hitting most of the notes) but not the worst rendition of SSB that I'e ever heard.

I first heard of her on here about a year ago when I watched Nasty, & laughed my ass off, to the point where I looked like I was having a seizure, & would burst out laughing, apropos of nothing, hours later. It was almost like the effects of getting high & having nonstop giggles.

I do think Addicted to Love is her best attempt, she sounds halfway decent & I actually get goosebumps at times, when she hits the higher notes.

I don't know about her having a sugar daddy, she seemed rather young in the vids; it sounds like she had a proverbial stage mother.

I can't decide if I want higher def videos or not. Higher definition would reveal so many wonderful if horrifying details of the studs in Nasty Boy. On the other hand, there is artistry in the low def. And perhaps I would not be able to unsee what I saw in Hi DEF.

I watch Sondra's videos and just laugh my ass off. The shouting/snarling of the lyrics is too funny, as well as her insane facial expressions.

That bitch was born in 1970 like I was .No fucking way shes a teen in those videos.

Her show ran on Tampa Public Access from 1987-92 so she would've been 16/17 when it started but I agree she looked older than that.

Then again, the big permed hair and heavy makeup of the 80s made girls and young women look older than they actually were.

I love that people on this thread are having the same reactions to her I did. I first saw some of her videos about 11-12 years ago on YouTube and I immediately showed them to friends who sat there looking at me like I was weird while tears of laughter rolled down my face.

I just lose it every time she gets to that bit in "Nasty" where she realises she can't say her name is "Janet. Miss Jackson, if you're nasty". so she just says: "No my first name ain't baby... (awkward pause then screams)... IF YA NASTYYYYYYY!!!!!"

She can't even be bothered to learn the proper lyrics to any of the songs she does.

I also think it's hysterical that not only did she mishear: "Better be a gentleman" as "a bathtub of gentlemen", she put a literal image of a bathtub of gentlemen in the video! God this is hilarious!
