‘Ludes are in a special legal classification with only rohypnol (sp?) to keep them company. It seems rather over the top given how much people seem to have enjoyed them and how, with the exception of rapists, most every one hates the date rape drug.

It is intriguing that they’re a class of drug that’s seemingly vanished after being such a big deal for around 3 decades. I guess they’re hard to make, relatively speaking, and more importantly have been supplanted by other drugs.
It seems like benzos have some of the same disinhibiting properties as ludes, though ludes seem more sedating than benzos.

They are more like booze. Goodbye inhibitions and good judgment. They were fun though.
