Businesses were required to put up signs. It was overturned on First Amendment grounds since that is compelled speech. Not a victory for trans rights, a victory for general freedom.

A real case is when a business retricts trans from using a bathroom and are sued in the state of Tennessee.

The law simply required establishments to alert customers to the allowed usage of same sex bathrooms by those of the different sex:
