Brad Johnson is dead to me!
Before you say “Who?!” reach into your 1990s episodic television memory bank. The former Marlboro Man; brawny, big-chested himbo C-lister; Melrose Place 5-episode arcster, and later star of creepy-Christian end of days Left Behind films died at 62 in February, 2022. According to Wikipedia, it was Covid-19. Johnson-ahem-leaves behind a wife and 8 children.
I became curious as to his whereabouts after catching him tonight on YouTube in a 1990s Jaclyn Smith TV movie called “Cries Unheard” where he plays—what else?—a brawny, big-chested himbo…albeit one who develops a steroid dependence. He spends quite a lot of time doing bench presses, then shirtless bench presses, then shirtless bench presses in his jockey shorts…that and banging his fist on his dresser after staring at himself in the mirror…and also roughing Jaclyn up because, ya know, steroids. A young Hilary Swank is on hand to lighten the mood.

The Left Behind movies were the refuge of Kirk Cameron and his bananas.

I remember him getting a lot of press as a “next big thing” prior to the release of Spielberg’s ALWAYS, but then it flopped and back to the D list he went.

R6 is great testimony of how stupid DataLounge posters have become. Everyone but these literalists can see it was a joke. Pathetic.

He was incredibly handsome and hunky but was a mediocre actor. Weird, only 62, so probably an anti-vaxxer if he died of Covid.

Oh yes, Brad was definitely one hot daddy. RIP.

I find it very interesting that his IMDB profile says he died of "undisclosed long term non communicable illness"
and yet every other source says he died of Covid.
That alone makes him sound like a repug. And his family (who clearly added that to his IMDB profile)
I went to his corporate website for his business and the clients they serve (high end ranches, etc) sound like they would all be repugs too.
Not proud of my generalizations here, and maybe I am 100% mistaken.

Also - according to IMDb and Wikipedia he died way back in February; however it doesn’t appear it was reported by any major news outlets or entertainment sites like THR or EW.

He may have been a "Christian" and a himbo, but he was hoy when on screen.
I guess he was fertile and enjoyed sharing his spunk with the wife since had 8 children.
And hos dumb he was in real life - not a himbo off-camera - he's been in land development in north Texas... giant (and U-G-L-Y McMansions),
Check this out from the corporate website: Brad Johnson, beloved husband, father, and true friend, was called home to his Lord on February 18th, 2022. From life in the professional rodeo circuit, to a career on the big screen, to hunting bear and caribou in Alaska, to finishing his time selling ranch real estate in the rolling hills of North Texas, Brad was the true definition of a Renaissance man. Although he was taken too early, he lived life to the fullest and taught his children to do the same. Brad greatly enjoyed improving and enhancing land, in a way that maintained and respected its natural beauty. He always felt most at home outdoors, and his passion for the land made that evident. As much as he loved cowboying, hunting, and land, Brad loved nothing more than his family. He always dreamt of a family business that his children could be a part of and enjoy.
With that in mind, JLH welcomes two of his daughters, Rachel Ellis and Eliana Williams to the team as they plan to carry on their father’s legacy of excellence. Brad’s wife and children will always cherish the memories that he gifted them. He was larger than life and he will not be forgotten. His legacy will live on just as he intended. We are so excited to start this new journey and we hope you will join us. Johnson Land and Home…Simply Service, Welcome Home.
What do his many sons do? Don't know...

We know, OP. A poster on the Hunks of the 80s thread noted the passing, belatedly, on 4/30.

THIS, MARY, IS WHY TRUMP WON IN 2016 and WHY PEOPLE STILL DEFEND HIM.

One of his roles include the Kirk Cameron-starring religious trilogy Left Behind as Captain Rayford Steele.
