Would you have sex with someone who told you they had Herpes 2?
Herpes 2
by Anonymous | reply 55 | May 15, 2022 10:22 AM |
No. There are so many people in the world.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 13, 2022 1:53 PM |
Is Herpes 2 the cold virus or the sexually transmitable virus? I have the cold virus, I occationally get cold sores on the side of my mouth. The lady at the pharmacy said I most likely had Herpes cold virus, I got a good lip balm for it.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 13, 2022 1:56 PM |
Nvm... apparently Herpes 2 is the STI. Then my answer is no.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 13, 2022 1:57 PM |
I worry about telling potential hook-ups about my herpes1. Yet, most of them have had cold sores as well.
Where herpes 2 is concerned, I would pass. The genital sores would hurt too much.
Why can’t medical science finally create a vaccine or a cure? I’ve read that they are in the pipeline, but why take so long?
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 13, 2022 1:59 PM |
Hoping to hear from someone with it.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 13, 2022 2:06 PM |
80% of Americans have it, so the chances you have been with someone that has it is very high.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 13, 2022 2:11 PM |
I think the 80% figure for herpes 2 is a bit high, R6. I’m going to Google it.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 13, 2022 2:23 PM |
The figure is much lower, R6: 11.9% of Americans have herpes 2 according to the attached article.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 13, 2022 2:26 PM |
It's vastly preferable to having HIV.
I have herpes 2, which is understandable since it's very easily transmissible. I've also never had an outbreak in the 7 years I've had it.
Needless to say, I do not have HIV, because that is incredibly difficult to contract (so easily avoidable by just not having anal sex...easy fucking peasy).
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 13, 2022 2:52 PM |
R9 if someone has sex with you can they get it (when you don't have an outbreak)?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 13, 2022 2:58 PM |
I have it. Got it from the 2nd guy I had sex with. I always disclose what I have to any potential partner, all of them were okay with it. One guy didn't tell me he had it until months into the relationship, the asshole.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 13, 2022 3:06 PM |
R10, yes. you can get it even if you wear a condom
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 13, 2022 3:33 PM |
it's illegal if you lie about this in various states. Like in CA.
Usher was sued and had to pay millions to a woman he gave this to.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 13, 2022 3:35 PM |
Most of them in Hollywood got it.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 13, 2022 3:35 PM |
A former friend has it and is absolutely TORMENTED about it. I keep telling her to meet others that have it and that torments her too.
No thanks.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 13, 2022 3:46 PM |
I wish I had it, maybe it would improve the look of my penis?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 13, 2022 3:59 PM |
If you have simplex 1 aren't you immune to simplex 2?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 13, 2022 4:00 PM |
No, R18. Two different strains are in question. 1 and 2 are different strains.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 13, 2022 5:06 PM |
I have the urge to suck a herpes 2 cock now in order to test out my immune system!
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 13, 2022 5:13 PM |
You guys just set off my Google Alerts!
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 13, 2022 5:30 PM |
I think you can get a valtrex prescription these days and lead a fairly normal life.

Herpes simplex 1 can be genital as well, r2, it has nothing to do with colds, that’s just a euphemism.
You can give yourself genital herpes if you happen to touch an outbreak on your lips and then your dick.
In fact it can also go into your nose, and your asshole. If it gets into your eyes it can go to your brain even.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 13, 2022 5:42 PM |
Long story short: never ever touch your lips with your fingers if you have an outbreak or if you feel an outbreak coming.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 13, 2022 5:44 PM |
wash your hands 24/7!
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 13, 2022 6:52 PM |
Apparently, spreading your herpes 1 to your genitalia is highly unlikely.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 13, 2022 9:00 PM |
I’ve never had either 1 or 2.
An ex of mine had it. We wouldn’t have sex during a flare up, which is probably why I never got, because even condoms don’t help, when using them to prevent other stuff.
It’s not a big deal. It’s totally manageable.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 13, 2022 9:20 PM |
ARE YOU KIDDING ME? NEVER!!!!!!!! Those diseased WHORES need to be tattoo'd on their asses. I'm DD Free and CLEAN you UB2. AND NO FORESKIN. YUK!
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 13, 2022 9:38 PM |
Seems painful.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | May 14, 2022 2:52 AM |
How the hell does the herpes virus get through a condom?! Hold me, David!
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 14, 2022 3:06 AM |
Skin to skin contact.
From what I understand, not by swallowing semen.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 14, 2022 3:07 AM |
How do people know they have it (outside of having a outbreak?)
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 14, 2022 3:11 AM |
I would have sex with someone who has Herpes 2 on VHS, but not if they have it on DVD.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 14, 2022 3:12 AM |
I did when I was younger. We used condoms. He was on herp meds. I got tested regularly. Wasn’t a big deal and he was hot and an amazing fuck.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 14, 2022 3:14 AM |
Someone on DL posted years ago that he got it from just grinding with another guy. Poor fella, I will always remember that poster.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 14, 2022 3:15 AM |
[quote]I worry about telling potential hook-ups about my herpes1.
I had a guy tell me he had herpes AFTER we had hooked up not once but twice. I've never had any outbreaks, so hopefully that means he wasn't shedding at the time (this was in 2007).
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 14, 2022 3:32 AM |
I have a friend who has it.
He initially had a very difficult time with it; physically and emotionally. His attacks were very painful.
He felt that the person who gave it to him did so deliberately (and from his descriptions to me of exactly what happened that sounds possible). Because of this he fantasised about killing this guy and even tried to find him many times, which is completely out of character.
Years on his herpes attacks are less frequent and less painful and he's mostly moved on from the depression.
His doctor told him genital herpes is extremely common among sexually active gay men and a lot of people are totally asymptomatic.
Herpes can be managed in most people with suppressing medication.
It's stupid to demonise people with herpes. It's also stupid to trivialise it as a condition.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 14, 2022 3:35 AM |
Yeh why not, we're all going to get it if we don't already
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 14, 2022 3:39 AM |
Is this the sequel to the Herpes 1 thread? Anyone have that link?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 14, 2022 4:03 AM |
Would you jump off the Empire State Building if I told you to?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | May 14, 2022 4:28 AM |
No. I don't have it, and I plan on keeping it that way.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | May 14, 2022 4:48 AM |
If you've ever had sex there's a fairly good chance you have Herpes and an ever better chance you have HPV.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | May 14, 2022 4:51 AM |
I get outbreaks on my arm. My aunt figures that someone with a cold sore probably kissed my arm when I was a baby when I got an immunization there. Triggers for me are very specific. Sun exposure on my arm, particularly after a long period of no exposure (such as when I stop wearing winter clothes and long sleeves). Corn is a big one. Lysine is an amino acid that helps with outbreaks, and corn is not only extremely low in lysine, but high in arginine and zein, which sort of bind up the lysine that you might be consuming in another source. Rice and oats can also sometimes cause it, but more rarely. They are also high in arginine. Pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds can also trigger an outbreak.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | May 14, 2022 4:57 AM |
many parents give their own kids herpes when they kiss them on the mouth!
by Anonymous | reply 46 | May 14, 2022 5:04 AM |
People can and do kill new born babies by kissing them and giving them herpes.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 14, 2022 5:06 AM |
HERPES?!!! Aren't the pies bad enough? Did you have to degrade us?
Mildred: Veda, don't talk like that!
Veda: I'm really not surprised. You've never spoken of your people - who you came from - so perhaps it's natural - Maybe that's why father...

Arginine is a known trigger for cold sore outbreaks. I kept getting them when I was drinking beet juice a lot. The virus is always hanging out in the affected nerve(s), just waiting for the right conditions so it can pop out and uglify people again.

R47 So we don't need Roe vs. Wade after all?
by Anonymous | reply 52 | May 15, 2022 9:32 AM |
.I admit I’ve had my struggles insisting upon condom and dental dam use when it comes to bedroom games.I always had my slide show of herpes outbreak images set for those guys whose first inclination was to dash.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | May 15, 2022 10:15 AM |
If you're a gay, you have worse things than that.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | May 15, 2022 10:17 AM |
I’d tell him “I do not have herpes”!!!
