Jane is always a delight! I wish I could stainless steel scouring pad away the entire Glee fiasco from everyone's memory. Though she was great in it, it was beneath her.

I love Jane, but she really should do some spots from southern Illinois.

She could do a shot from the utter desolation and poverty of East St. Louis, Illinois.

She could do another from Cahokia Heights, where raw sewage oozes out of the ground because the sewer lines are broken and have been broken for years.

Another from Cairo, Illinois with a ghost town theme. She could stand in the middle of the main intersection and by completely undisturbed by passing cars and trucks.

And still another from Granite City, currently in a neck-to-neck battle with Youngstown, Ohio for former steel city now struggling to stay alive.

In other words, outside of Chicago, Illlinois is a complete and total shithole has been for years, and the state of Illinois doesn't do jack shit about it.

She's better at making fun of things. She should travel through Illinois and ridicule the local people and towns. That would be much more effective.

These state tourism campaigns more often miss the mark than not. Pennsylvania has an awful ad just put out with Joey Heatherton limping around a casino touting that PA is now the second biggest gambling state after Nevada. It also has PA native Bill Cosby sitting at a casino bar surrounded by a bunch of female Pennsylvania nines. At the end John Fetterman lights up a joint and says something or the other.

I see ads for Missouri, Wisconsin, and even Indiana 🤮 so I’m guessing those states are some of the places that get the Illinois ad.

She's also the new "Mayor of Funner" at Harrah's SoCal. This was a promotion Harrah's started a few years ago. The "Mayor" is the face of promotions and advertising. The first "Mayor" was, of all people, David Hasselhof!. The next one was Bob Riggle (didn't we just have a thread about him?) and now it's Jane Lynch.
