NO.

What's wrong with it?

I watched two previous adaptations - Lucky Chances and Lady Boss - growing up and enjoyed them at the time. I love trashy tv movies.

If you love trashy TV movies you'll love this. All star cheesy cast. Lots of camp. Go for it.

I wish they'd don't a Judith Krantz crossover and had the ladies shopping at Scruples.

by Anonymousreply 4May 11, 2022 11:56 PM

I need to hunt down Scruples. I vaguely remember watching at least some of it as a kid back in the day.

God, I miss Laura Branigan.

OP = How do you feel about twins?...I will say based on Hollywood Wives that Angie Dickinson would have been an amazing Sable Colby (which she turned down).

I've always wanted to see Lace. Is that streamingbanywgere? I can't find it on any of the services I subscribe to but have always been curious about it since was a gay teen.

R9 = There was a sequel to Lace. It was called Lace II....FYI. Available on DVD on Amazon......Also if you go to a website called "Just Watch" and put in a title it will tell you if the show is on a streamer.....

Thank you, R10! That's a great tip!

Is it just me or does Robert Stack's hair and makeup make him look like a Golden Girls era Rue McClanahan?

Is this the one where the woman says “which one of you bitches is my mother?”

by Anonymousreply 13May 12, 2022 4:56 AM

R12 = Yes.."Which one of you BITCHES are my mother"....

Was this the nadir of Anthony Hopkins' career?

I mean, in 1985 he's co-starring with Suzanne Somers. Six years later, he's co-starring with Jodie Foster and wins an Oscar.

Lace II = "Help me find out which one is my father".......oh my....She had plenty of drama.

I have such happy memories of watching Lace when it aired, I was 14. Must-see TV for sure! I didn’t guess who the mother was.

Lace 2 kinda sucked.

I was always partial to I'll Take Manhattan
