Why do some men shave their head?

Alopecia.

How can they be lazy? Don't you have to shave it every day. Seems like a lot of work to me. Probably have to shave it more carefully than you shave legs.

I assumed men shaved their heads cause they think they look good or their remaining hair is too funnily placed on their head to look good. Sometimes you can't make a decent hair style out of what's left.

Why do some men care whether other men shave their head?

I LOVE shaved heads. You can't hide any flaws with a shaved head. It actually looks like a lot of work, keeping everything tidy and smooth.

I’m on chemo, haven’t lost all my hair but maybe about a quarter has thinned out. So I’m buzzing it really short and, fuck, I actually prefer it that way. It takes no work in the morning and it’s pretty masculine and, I think, sexy looking. I was quite the twink in my 20’s or so with cool blonde hair, but I actually prefer this style. I always found bald and bearded men hot...then I became one myself (always had really fine hair that I couldn't do much with and honestly just hated the hassle of it, one summer I just decided to get it all shaved off as a trial and although I grew my hair back initially, a year or so later as my hair started thinning even more I just went shaved for good. Have never looked back and the only annoying thing is having to shave it minimum once a week, which usually takes me at least half an hour to do properly.

I'd prefer to have a full head of hair so I could have a mullet like I did when I was young. But since that aint happening I buzz cut mine real short like R38 and others here. Its low maintenance which is good. Its also easy to keep clean if you work in dirty environments.

But to be honest I do prefer guys with a full head of hair myself, not a hard and fast preference though. If a guys is bald but slim and otherwise at least moderately attractive I'm still interested.

I've found that guys who have plenty of hair but shave their heads anyway tend to be arrogant.

I'm not making any sweeping judgments, that's just my experience. I think perhaps it takes a lot of self-confidence to adopt the bald look.

Many guys who shave have big ol' heads. They probably think by mowing it down they look thinner and sleeker.

My head is too round (think Charlie Brown) to get away with shaving it, so as my hairline recedes I wear my hair shorter and shorter. It's way easier to deal with, and it really does look better. Longer hair emphasizes the bald areas. If there was a real cure, I'd go for it. But there isn't, and I don't have tens of thousands of dollars to chase after transplants that may or may not take.

I had the trauma of losing a lot of my hair while still fairly young, so I don't give shit to anyone for their choices. You deal with things the best you can.

I understand men with thinning hair shaving their head if they can not afford hair transplant surgery but I totally do not get why a man with a full head of hair would shave it off though. It just absolutely makes no sense to me whatsoever...

I’ve been growing my gray/white hair since the beginning of the pandemic lockdown. It’s shoulder length now, prior it was a clipper cut (2 on top/1 on the side). I’m 62. I’ve never had more complements on my hair and I get chased around the grocery store by widowed women. I went from being invisible to suddenly getting side eye in a good way- I think. I’m keeping it for a while longer, but it’s high maintenance as fuck. It looks exactly like Lucius Malfoy down to the side part.

I think younger guys who, lose their hair early and shave their heads are sexy for the most part. It takes a a lot of confidence and that usually translates to the bedroom. Plus, this is not scientific by any means, but hung or not the few I’ve been with get the stiffest hard ons I’ve ever seen. Still got my nice wavy mostly brown locks with just a touch of distinguished grey, and still wear it longish. I've got it, I'm gonna flaunt it. I'm still attracted to it, the 70s rock star look, I guess because that's what I grew up thinking was cool.
