Being unique and making dance music hurt her image and she spent the rest of her career making up for it trying to conform to the hip-hop rules she broke and I think her career suffered from it.

But I’ve always seen her as an extension of Lil’ Kim’s Notorious Kim era where she was pretty bold for a rapper.
