The article is bullshit. The author of a trashy book looking for publicity pushed her into a sound bite. What was she supposed to say, “No, I think she’d be a bad president?” All she really said was that it’s good for women to be involved in politics and in the Democratic Party. And that in a very theoretical sense, Meghan (like any other woman), would make a good candidate. Which is, of course, nonsense. Most men would also make shitty candidates. But you can’t say anything else.

These stories are believable because Meghan is so arrogant and unaware of her limitations. I think she gets way more shit than she deserves. But then she never seems to learn from it - so maybe she does deserve it?
