Who?

[post redacted because linking to dailymail.co.uk clearly indicates that the poster is either a troll or an idiot (probably both, honestly.) Our advice is that you just ignore this poster but whatever you do, don't click on any link to this putrid rag.]

R2 I wanted to give you ALL the credit for posting the link
Now you can bask in all the thanks from DLers

Even with the link I still don’t know who he is.

OP is DEAD TO ME!

OP/R3 You're a smug, retarded lump of shit.
The whole "I just wanted to give YOU credit" is NOT a clever retort - any of the SEVERAL times you've used it nownow - just shows what a fat, drunken whore you are.

It’s true… the girls - and the guys - all do get prettier at closing time.

My mom was in love with him.

I sense deep hostility from the alien at r7. I recommend arming photon torpedoes, captain.

Mickey also owned a concert venue. Back in the day, he was fairly well known and popular.
Of course most DL-ers wouldn't have a clue who he is. Especially the gay hipsters. Duh.

I grew up near Gilley's in the Urban Cowboy era. I am surprised Mickey Gilley wasn't older and already dead.

Is he the guy with the breakfast sausage?

R12 Pasadena? I grew up in Sugar Land during that time - Urban Cowboy and Gilley’s were huge then!

R7 take a valium

He and Freddy fender were a couple back in the late 70's-early 80's.

I gasped while I was doing the dishes & overheard this news headline—I thought it was Mickey Guyton!

Hard to believe he was in his early forties circa Urban Cowboy. He looked much older. Ive lived in Houston since 1978 and UC was HUGE. Even went to Gilleys once. I miss that era when everything seemed much simpler. MG said he thanked Travolta every day like a prayer for giving him a second career.

FWIW, the Urban Cowboy soundtrack is fantastic.

R7 is right, there's an OP that starts 15 threads a day like this, dumb shit and no links.
It may be the return of one of the old hissing drunken messes that posted here back in the day, like PPSM or Miss Helen Bedd.

R15 Yes, Gilley’s was in Pasadena. Mickey still lived there. He owns every house on the street leading up to his mansion which houses various family members.
