The name is no misnomer! I've always admired him. His voice is quite sexy to me as well.

I've had a crush on him since Party of Five. I agree that he should've gotten more attention for LOST because he's excellent in it, but he played the least showy character on the series.

Party of Five seems so forgotten. It's weird because this is the show that put Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love Hewitt on the map. Lacey Chabert does a shit ton of voice acting as well. I don't remember it being reran a lot like Gilmore Girls, 7th Heaven, 90210, Dawson's Creek, Buffy, etc. Sorta just faded away after it ended. I knew Fox mainly from Lost and came across Party of Five on some video-on-demand service and watched a few episodes, Scott Wolf was damned fine along with Fox.

The most nostalgia it got was that failed attempt at a remake that Freeform pushed with the dumb concept of these Mexican-American kids having their parents deported. May as well made it a different show, not a terrible concept but nothing at all like actually losing your parents to death.

Matthew Fox did a very touching portrayal of an autistic man in search of his father in the drama Behind the Mask also starring Donald Sutherland. It's based on a true story and like most movie adaptations, the actors were much better looking than the real life figures, both Matthew and Donald.

Never liked him. He's long been rumored to have been a difficult drunk and IIRC he was arrested about ten years ago for assaulting someone while drunk. He has the lifeless eyes of a serial killer.

r62, I agree with r61. There's something about Matthew Fox I find frightening. I wouldn't want to be alone in a room, in a forest, or on the road with him. Someone upthread compared him to Ryan Eggold, and I couldn't disagree more. Ryan seems like a lovely person, as well as being very good looking. I get that some might find Fox attractive, but for me, the attractiveness is overshadowed by his sinister aura.

People see what they want to see with celebrities and celebrities show what they want to show. Fox had some scandals but he's so private and doesn't expose himself a lot that I can't necessarily say he's this or that. He explained his side of that story and the case went nowhere. Also, that cast member who was bashing Fox had a lot of bones to pick with the show in general and he never proved his allegations. That's why I'm not the side of Fox being an abuser. Like many actors, I can see him being diva and difficult but that's necessarily a bad thing especially in an industry that wants pushovers and yes-men. Like I said, there's not enough out there for me to say much about him as a person. Especially compared to others like Will Smith, Matt Damon, Kanye and Johnny Depp.
