I Went to Martha Stewart's Tag Sale

Where was it? I didn’t see anything about it.

I went to one at Glenn Close’s house a few years ago (January 2020 IIRC) and bought some Christmas stuff, cookie cutters and a set of dish towels a DLer thought his nana made for her decades ago but they turned out to be store bought. I also got a set of bunny ears, couldn’t resist.

I went to Alex Trebek's.

So, no.

R1 it was at her place in Bedford (but you had to buy to a ticket and everyone had to park and get shuttled from John Jay homestead down the road).

The best part was as we were waiting to board the shuttle there, a group of three young fraus behind us, who drove 4 HOURS to attend, saying what they'd each hope to find. One of them said "all I want is a cake stand, then I'll be happy."

When we got there, the first thing I did was look for cake stands and I bought the last three left.

I am proud to say I picked up four gross of Martha Stewart™ 8054 Pudding Mold packs at the tag sale.

Those things are hard to find, because you know how selfish those supply hoarders are since COVID.

You'd be surprised how many uses pudding mold has, and it's nice to thing that every mildewy sniff has some real Martha behind it.

ABC will air an hour special May 25 about the tag sale. I think it's on at 8 PM. Yes OP, I am jealous...lol. I read her blog and there were beautiful things....naturally, of course. It's Martha freaking Stewart. Her instagram and blog were the only way for me to "be there".

Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin said they went to the sale on The View yesterday. On her blog today, you can see Sunny in the background in one of the photos.

LOL R51. We went on the second day of the sale, and most of the good stuff was already sold and picked over, so any "celebrities" probably went on the previous day. Didn't see many cameras there.

Although that queeny can't-believe-he's-straight ABC weatherman from NYC, Lee Goldberg, was there on the day we went.

It's green milk glass that was first popular circa the Great Depression due to it's low cost.

I bought some paint at K Mart, back like it 2003, when K Mart still existed and Martha S was adding her name to K Mart wares. I loved the paint, it was me discovering the "sea glass" color.
