They really could have made a change in this country by asking that something be done about police unions. It's almost impossible to fire a bad police officer. The "let's get rid of the police" was beyond ridiculous.

So many of the true police brutality cases involve a cop who has a history of excessive force. The police department wasn't able to fire them. Or refused to. Dirty cops are bad for everyone. They're bad for the citizens and bad for the "good cops".

It does seem that a lot of these organizations, left, right and in the middle, are grifts. Higher-ups are almost always paid obscenely with outrageous perks, and too much seems to be spent on entertainment.
