How has she been looking so good since entering her 40s? I want that too. She doesn’t look like she’s had any work either. She probably looked better in her 40s than she ever looked. Even in her 60s she’s looking great.
Looks jowly to me. And that's quite a gut.

When asked about going under the knife, Lorraine candidly told ET, "Who doesn't want to get plastic surgery? I've had some of the greatest plastic surgery ever. I've had a mini liposuction. It made a huge difference. It took away those big jowl things. I was very happy with that."

She seems to have gained a little weight as she got older. Fluffs everything up. She does look good.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 22, 2022 2:23 AM |
Fuck off r1.
She looks good because she chose her face over her ass (she allowed herself to gain weight as she ages because fat plumps wrinkles. Her hair is also an amazing hybrid that shows she hasn’t given up.

Being a terrible actress helps.

She's Italian. My mother and grandmother always looked 10-15 yrs younger than they were. Their skin wasn't dry, and didn't show sun damage (although neither were out in the sun a lot).
by Anonymous | reply 6 | April 22, 2022 2:28 AM |
I don’t follow her and didn’t know she has plastic surgery. She still looks really great. I saw her on the Sopranos but only watched Goodfellas recently and couldn’t believe how much better she looked in the Sopranos.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 22, 2022 2:31 AM |
She looks like a pretty older woman.
I mean, she looks like a pretty, older, woman.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 22, 2022 2:32 AM |
Didn't tan. Didn't over-do the surgery. Doesn't pretend to be thirty anymore. Dresses well. Hasn't starved herself. Looks like she would be fun to be around and not a nasty cunt.
Wish more ladies would go this way. I think she looks great too, OP.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 22, 2022 2:35 AM |
It always kills me that in Goodfellas when they do that amazing scene of coming in the back of the club that Bracco's character is supposed to be like 20 and her middle-aged wrinkly elbows give her age away. I laugh every single time.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 22, 2022 2:37 AM |
IMO, she looks like she's had some work. "Work" isn't automatically a negative to me. I think she's had good work.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | April 22, 2022 2:39 AM |
I recall seeing her around nyc in the 90's and she was always a great sport when people yelled out to her on the street about the next episode of the Sopranos. "I can't. I CAN'T" she'd yell back. She was fun

I think she bought one of those houses in Sicily for $1 or something like that, did an extensive renovation and created a HGTV show about it. I heard her talk about it on a podcast and it sounded like it would be a really fun watch. She also came across as very unpretentious and self deprecating.

Her sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Aiden Quinn have availed themselves of the lasagna, too, but all look healthy.

Her Hallmark movie WELCOME TO MAMA'S was the worst rated one this year. How embarrassing!

Lorraine purchased her frozen botox face while she was on "Rizzoli and Isles"
Angie Harmon had such a big ego that she shut the show down with a shortened final season and was pushing for a spin-off show called "Rizzoli" which never turned into anything
Angie had so little going on in her life a couple years, divorced, bored and starved for sex and attention that she volunteered to help Lorraine renovate her Sicilian dump just to get herself in front of some working cameras

She did a voice-over for a Christmas commercial years ago for (Target?) . She was an ornament or some tchotchke. It drove me crazy because that I knew that voice but couldn't place it!

She hit some kind of jackpot in being in Goodfellas and transitioning to but not being a primary key to The Sopranos.

[quote]She was in a 12-year relationship with actor Harvey Keitel, whom she met while living in Paris. They have one daughter, Stella Keitel (born 1985). Bracco and Keitel fought a lengthy custody battle over Stella, resulting in Bracco's depression and $2 million in legal fees.

R23 Yes, it's Lifetime. Plenty of actors make a comfortable living doing Lifetime movies just like they do Hallmark movies. Not everyone can land a Marvel gig. Welcome to the reality in Hollywood. Angie's old show Rizzoli and Isles had its re-runs on Lifetime for ages and she recently hosted a show on there and now has inked a multi-picture deal to produce and star in Lifetime movies. The trailer for the first one is already out there and it looks good. Hallmark's Kristoffer Polaha plays her love interest.
Angie's doing fine. She sends her love.
You on the other hand have nothing better to do than make shit up about others on an ancient gay message board.

She was so wonderful in Goodfellas. Totally robbed of Oscar.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 22, 2022 1:27 PM |
Lorraine’s Italian father agreed about the Oscar. From a recent profile of her in the Guardian:
Her parents loved the movies. When Goodfellas won her an Oscar nomination, they came to the ceremony. “My father thought he was at the racetrack. When I lost he screamed out ‘Jesus Christ!’ and Dustin Hoffman spun round in shock. I wanted to beat him stupid!”
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 22, 2022 1:36 PM |
Lorraine claimed Harvey was molesting their daughter Stella and Harvey claimed if anyone was molesting Stella it was James. Stella went on to work at Harvey's production company. I dealt with her there in the early 2000s. She was a nice girl and obviously thought highly of her dad. No idea what her relationship with her mother is like.

It was spaghetti, wasn't it, R36? Either way, such a good line.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 22, 2022 2:14 PM |
R37 yes, but Lorraine looks too smart to be piling on the carbs, even in heftier late "middle" age.
Plus Sophia was likely hyping the national product. She eats continental style, from what I have read-very little at brunch, a decent lunch and smallish dinner.

[quote] 1999 was in the 90's, Rose.
So let’s review: while the first season was being broadcast in 1999 — the first season — that poster somehow managed to see Lorraine Bracco multiple times, and each time, people were hollering questions to her about a show … that had just started that year? (And that had poor early numbers by the way.) If you want to see rose, go look in the mirror.
That person is either full of shit or remembering the wrong decade.
Also the show didn’t broadcast in “the 90s” — no one would say that about a 2000s show that started in 1999.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 22, 2022 6:28 PM |
Maybe the "I can't" actually refers to "Goodfellas." When Jimmy (DeNiro) said he had some dresses & did Karen want to take a look. Karen, at first says yes but then realizes she might be walking into a death trap and says something like, "I can't."

1991 Oscars, nominees for Best Supporting Actress
Whoopi Goldberg – Ghost as Oda Mae Browndouble-dagger
Annette Bening – The Grifters as Myra Langtry
Lorraine Bracco – Goodfellas as Karen Friedman Hill
Diane Ladd – Wild at Heart as Marietta Fortune
Mary McDonnell – Dances with Wolves as Stands with a Fist
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 22, 2022 8:06 PM |
Whoopi Goldberg won.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 22, 2022 8:07 PM |
I've never seen Dances with Wolves, but have seen everything else on that list, R41. That really is some tough competition. I probably would have voted for Bracco, but Diane Ladd and Whoopi really did create interesting characters from their roles.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | April 22, 2022 8:16 PM |
That's a tough year. Everyone but Diane could have legit won that. I do like Diane but that performance was OTT to the extreme.

She's quite goofy, likable, and funny in this recent "Talking Sopranos" episode, if you want to see her in action now. This was about two years ago.
