She seems to have gained a little weight as she got older. Fluffs everything up. She does look good.

She looks good because she chose her face over her ass (she allowed herself to gain weight as she ages because fat plumps wrinkles. Her hair is also an amazing hybrid that shows she hasn’t given up.

Being a terrible actress helps.

She's Italian. My mother and grandmother always looked 10-15 yrs younger than they were. Their skin wasn't dry, and didn't show sun damage (although neither were out in the sun a lot).

I don’t follow her and didn’t know she has plastic surgery. She still looks really great. I saw her on the Sopranos but only watched Goodfellas recently and couldn’t believe how much better she looked in the Sopranos.

It always kills me that in Goodfellas when they do that amazing scene of coming in the back of the club that Bracco's character is supposed to be like 20 and her middle-aged wrinkly elbows give her age away. I laugh every single time.

IMO, she looks like she's had some work. "Work" isn't automatically a negative to me. I think she's had good work.

I recall seeing her around nyc in the 90's and she was always a great sport when people yelled out to her on the street about the next episode of the Sopranos. "I can't. I CAN'T" she'd yell back. She was fun

I think she bought one of those houses in Sicily for $1 or something like that, did an extensive renovation and created a HGTV show about it. I heard her talk about it on a podcast and it sounded like it would be a really fun watch. She also came across as very unpretentious and self deprecating.

Her sister Elizabeth and brother-in-law Aiden Quinn have availed themselves of the lasagna, too, but all look healthy.

She did a voice-over for a Christmas commercial years ago for (Target?) . She was an ornament or some tchotchke. It drove me crazy because that I knew that voice but couldn't place it!

She hit some kind of jackpot in being in Goodfellas and transitioning to but not being a primary key to The Sopranos.

She's pretty and I love her smoky voice.

R23 Yes, it's Lifetime. Plenty of actors make a comfortable living doing Lifetime movies just like they do Hallmark movies. Not everyone can land a Marvel gig. Welcome to the reality in Hollywood. Angie's old show Rizzoli and Isles had its re-runs on Lifetime for ages and she recently hosted a show on there and now has inked a multi-picture deal to produce and star in Lifetime movies. The trailer for the first one is already out there and it looks good. Hallmark's Kristoffer Polaha plays her love interest.

Lorraine’s Italian father agreed about the Oscar. From a recent profile of her in the Guardian:

Her parents loved the movies. When Goodfellas won her an Oscar nomination, they came to the ceremony. “My father thought he was at the racetrack. When I lost he screamed out ‘Jesus Christ!’ and Dustin Hoffman spun round in shock. I wanted to beat him stupid!”

Lorraine claimed Harvey was molesting their daughter Stella and Harvey claimed if anyone was molesting Stella it was James. Stella went on to work at Harvey's production company. I dealt with her there in the early 2000s. She was a nice girl and obviously thought highly of her dad. No idea what her relationship with her mother is like.

Maybe the "I can't" actually refers to "Goodfellas." When Jimmy (DeNiro) said he had some dresses & did Karen want to take a look. Karen, at first says yes but then realizes she might be walking into a death trap and says something like, "I can't."

I've never seen Dances with Wolves, but have seen everything else on that list, R41. That really is some tough competition. I probably would have voted for Bracco, but Diane Ladd and Whoopi really did create interesting characters from their roles.

That's a tough year. Everyone but Diane could have legit won that. I do like Diane but that performance was OTT to the extreme.
