r99 you are missing the point myself and others are making; "loud, coarse, trashy" behavior is not unique to the Atlanta Housewives, that kind of behavior can be seen on ALL the Real Housewives franchises. The fact that you keep saying this show intentionally made black women a parody is inaccurate, and plus you haven't even watched the show to form that opinion.

There are plenty reality shows that have done that, but this was not one. The black women on this show, especially Kandi, have totally used it as a platform to launch their own successful businesses, like several other women from the other casts have done.

I think there are questions that Bravo need to answer. Specifically when you see how the ladies of ATL and RHOP are treated at reunions in comparison to RHOBH or the New York matriarchs. Andy has not been subtle or shown the range needed to be able to navigate complex discussions that need to take place at those shows.

Having said that Nene also has questions to answer. It’s interesting this is being filed now. At the peak of her power she pretty much called the shots on RHOA and openly said she had a great relationship with Andy and the network. I can’t imagine that relationship broke down because of race. I think it had more to do with the fact she sent a crew member to the hospital, assaulted a cast member and forgot she was part of an ensemble and developed a horrible attitude. In that respect it’s hard to feel for Nene when this blacklisted narrative is pretty much all her own doing.

I am glad Kim is being called out. I think in the earlier seasons it was a classic case of white person feeling way too comfortable around their black friends. As the sole white cast member she had the responsibility to educate herself and realise that she was in a privileged position to be sharing a platform with this group of women and therefore she should have represented herself in a decent way. RHOA never needed a white cast member. Unfortunately the return in season 10 proved she had a complete lack of self awareness and that she really is just trash. I don’t particularly think Nene has a particularly stronger moral compass either.

I am in no position to deny anyones experience but she has been very vocal throughout her RHOA dismissal and It feels more like a last ditch attempt of a comeback. It was really uncomfortable to see her start using #blacklivesmatter in relation to her being fired and trivialising such a cause. Her whole verbiage on the matter was solely directed at Andy/Bravo up until now. It will be intriguing to see how this plays out.

Andy really coddled Kim Z. that time that the other HWs took her to task at a reunion. Andy even went so far as to apologize for the way Kim was handled (bullied, blah blah blah). He never coddled any of the other Atlanta HWs when they were taken to task on their BS. Never apologized, etc.

Nene put the final nail in her coffin after her last and final "comeback" to RHOA. She thought she had permanently moved on to stardom in Hollywood and would never have to return to Bravo, but then she was forced to come back because no one else wanted her. Instead of realizing, having a bit of perspective and humility, and playing her true position (which still afforded her a remarkably great life!) she refused to actually participate in the show this time, thinking she was way better than everyone else. She wasn't funny or entertaining anymore-- just bitter and mean to everyone on and off set, and viewers stopped caring and liking her. Not only did ratings not improve for her return,, they fell further. She and her horrible attitude were a negative energy drain on the show. Bravo knew it and didn't really want her back, so refused to pay what she asked for and let her go. She was in total shock they passed on her, trashed Andy and Bravo, and became persona non grata at the only place left for her to go. After burning that bridge, she recently tried to backtrack and made a public statement that she would now like to sit down and hash things out with Andy, who rightfully laughed her off. Now she is clearly going scorched earth on him, Bravo and ultimately herself with this desperate and ridiculous lawsuit, which will of course backfire and make her prospects even worse.

Andy Cohen whom I know personally is one of the realest people in the biz. Nene plastic surgery Leakes is nothing but a phony both internally and externally.

She should've made herself the face of a good cause and promote herself by raising awareness for the cause. That sort of good press would've led to business opportunities, which could've led to her own Reality Show or a career as a legit businesswoman. But in order to do that, you have to have some professional skill other than going viral on social media with memes. It's fairly obvious that this is just a money grab. You can't spend money like she does if you're not bringing in big bucks on a daily basis. She's clearly not and this is apparently the only thing she can come up with to get some big bucks. I certainly hope she has her attorneys on a contingency contract because they'll play hell getting any money out of her when she loses the case. Frankly, I won't be surprised if the court dismisses the case for being unfounded before it ever gets started.

I wonder if Nene's being blackballed by TPTB, or if people just know she's hard to work with. It seems like she'd been offered opportunities on other talkshow panels but she's never been able to close a deal. I remember years ago Debmar-Mercury was considering developing a show for Nene, but Wendy Williams and her ex-husband shut it down. Debmar has now cancelled Wendy and Nick Cannon, but unfortunately Nene's popularity is not what it was 10 years ago.

I think Wendy and Nene should team up for a podcast or Youtube show or something, they are both now husbandless, litigious, jobless, and need money!

I watched the first season a couple of weeks ago. Kim was always very nice to Nene and they seemed like they really got along. Then Nene shit talked Kim during the limo ride and then suddenly Nene acted like she was somehow the victim and that Kim was somehow the villain when the reality is that the other women were pretty much appalled by what Nene was saying about Kim behind her back.
