I was a senior in high school when TITANIC was released around Christmas 1997. Needless to say, I got caught up in all of the hoopla -- and I don't regret it -- but I remember being really annoyed at Leo and Kate afterward when they didn't cash in on the massive success of the film. 😂They both just did stupid indie films. I think Leo even waited two years to make another movie. So stupid. They were lucky. Their careers could have ended much worse. Leo was rescued by Scorsese in the early 2000s.

She just killed it in Mare of Easttown.

She’s a great actress but her filmography is not very good. It went downhill after she won her Oscar (and for the wrong movie, she should’ve won for Revolutionary Road).

Her career was already going downhill before she worked with Woody. Kate’s problem is her filmography. She hasn’t starred in many great films, Titanic and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind are the main two films that stand out in her filmography. I read she was the original choice for the Rachel Weisz role in The Favourite. That film would’ve been great for her filmography.
