Amber Heard's crony banned from the Depp/Heard courtroom

Non newsworthy. The judge addressed the situation summarily. And will instruct the jurors to not consider it when weighing the evidence. God, the jurors must be bored to tears by this crass display of too much privilege, too much money, and arrested development. I hope they're not downwind from Johnny's breath.

I think being ON her phone is how she noted that witness Gina Deuters had liked trial footage in social media. She alerted Heard, who in turn alerted the attorneys… which got the witness booted.

So she served a valuable function and the Court should actually thank her.

This is a lawsuit, not a criminal trial, so I'm not quite understanding why this blog is making it sound like Heard can't talk with her friends in the galley when the trial is in recess.

Seems like Barlow was kicked out because she was on a cell phone, and that's it, and a bunch of blogs are trying to make it sound sinister. Downplaying a witness who had to have her entire testimony stricken, while playing up someone kicked out for being on a cell phone when they shouldn't have. That's just dumb.

I keep reading headlines saying this trial is a waste of time, these two should get over themselves and stop looking for attention, etc. But didn't Depp file this lawsuit? And Heard is required to show up. Who is responsible for bringing this whole charade to Virginia, when many of these same issues were already heard and settled in the London courtroom last year.

These are 2 entirely different issues. One is about the integrity of a witness and the integirty of the trial. The other is of less consequence.

The Amber friend could have just been admonished not to use her electronic device in court again. That happens all the time in courtrooms. Unless the person has disrupted the court proceedings they aren't thrown out of the courtroom. Even when judges have ordered the marshals to take a device for the rest of the trial day, they don't get thrown out.

I suspect the judge was trying for some reason to make it seem like she was being fair to both sides but these are not equivalent incidents at all.

The defense team could have made her art of the defense and then she could have used her devices in court.

One compromises the integrity of the judicial proceedings, the other does not. But it's the judge's courtroom and she can enforce her courtroom rules as she sees fit. But understand that the Rule on Witnesses is much more than a judge's courtroom rules like not wearing hates or not sitting in the row nearest the jury.

The part about falsifying the date of the Instagram post of Johnny's witness and committing fraud is mentioned in page 7 and 8 (below)

R25, that's the 3rd time I read that part of the transcript. That is only Depp's lawyer making those claims and even if they are true to some extent that does not explore the issue sufficiently to form any conclusion about it. That was my point about that matter. We aren't seeing the whole story or hearing from the other side about it.

I'm looking at the documents and I'm trying to figure out how the court didn't know what date the post was, and why the witness didn't explain that the post in question was an old one.

Depp's attorneys are acting as if Amber's IG post before the trial was "egregious" for mentioning that she didn't use Depp's name in the op-ed, but that's been mentioned extensively before, both in the press and in the previous UK trial. They made it sound like the opening arguments from her attorneys where just taken from her IG post, which is stupid, of course they weren't. It's just that we all know her legal position because it's been an ongoing thing for years now. They tried to frame it as her giving away important evidence before the trial or something.

They also made it sound like Barlow is a reporter and she's not, she's a blogger and writer on Jewish issues with a Substack.
