It's mild for Houston's standards on tacky...
It's mcmansions and townhouse sprawls tend to be a bit more 80s Florida meets trading spaces' hildi santo tomas with shades of a midwestern frau's perspective of southwest culture.
although it's a great playground for young architects. . . the occasional innovative eco friendly and technologhically advanced designs or even some classic builds that deserve a comeback but there's a lot of garbage to sift thru especially in the inner loop.

Well, with two ballrooms that can accommodate 750 guests for a seated dinner, you need a few extra bathrooms

R5 I doubt anyone who would build something like this actually has 750 guests to invite. I wouldn't mind if they built it out in the country on a spread of 50 acres or more. But, not on 7 acres in the city. Though it looks less like a home and more like a low class Bellagio.

Looks like a wedding factory the type of place that can host several weddings at the same time.

Not that I have $25M, but the place looks too linear to feel like a home. It lacks uniqueness..

That's why they invented porta-potties.

R3 Its the perfect home for a large family that all have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)!
It does have some nice details, and some nice bits of furniture, but the look isnt consistent throughout, and it is just way too big. It looks like it was designed by a committee, all of whom wanted to replicate different architectural styles, from Gothic revival to French chateau to Victorian to Baroque/ rococco.... but none of them well. And some modern bits thrown into the mix as if the look wasnt confused enough as it was. And then someone else had the idea of trying to conceal all the confusion by slathering it all in off white paint, but they ran out
I agree with R7, it looks to have been built as a wedding factory, could either be used as that or a hotel maybe. Its too big for a normal home

That was probably done on purpose. One theory is that as real Chateaus, Castles, Manors, etc... that we visit today are the result of many years and different styles, so the idea is that it makes the new houses seem more authentic if there is a mixture of styles. But, you can't fake it. It works in the real ones because it is a real organic mixture that developed over the years. Designing it like that from the beginning is contrived and messy.

It’s horrible, like a Dubai airport terminal.
