McAvoy is quite odd in terms of career. Clearly he's made it as an actor and can pick and choose his roles and gets to turn down crap but he's not quite a marquee name.

"OMG A NEW JAMES MCAVOY FILM!" isn't something you'll ever hear.

He gave an interview before the Scottish Impendence referendum and made every argument for independence going but kept saying he wouldn't disclose how he was going to vote. Ridiculous really.

Of McAvoy, McGregor and Butler, I would say McGregor is by far the best actor.

I think McGregor is one of our finest male actors. He can disappear into roles the way few people can. I always think it might have been good for his pocketbook he did those Star wars movies but it was unfortunate for the rest of us because he's such a first rate actor. i was so impressed when him last year in "Halston"--it was unlike anything he had ever done before, and he was superb.

McAvoy has enormous talent (and I love his looks), but he's done very little to stretch himself since he started playing Professor Xavier. ("Split" was just silly showing off, and unworthy of him.) I hope he goes back to do real work when he's done with the franchise, like McGregor did when his franchise was over.
