Do Zendaya and Timothee have longevity in Hollywood?

She is even less interesting than Kristen Stewart was 10 years ago. Timothee mumbles through entire movies. He won't age well.

I'm surprised Timothée has been able to remain a big deal for as long as he has. He's quite the networker in terms of getting roles and ingratiating himself. But I think his time is running out. He's a mediocre actor, too wrapped up in himself to fully become his characters. I think he'll go the way of Tobey McGuire and Andrew Garfield, never quite disappearing but fading in popularity. Andrew McCarthy was a big deal once too.

Timothee, I don't know. In the beginning he seemed to have potential as the character actor, but I am not so sure. I think that his big goal to be a classic leading man is hard for him to achieve, but he could still develop. So there is a possibility he might be cast when he gets older.

I think Timmy is very talented. Smart too, based on the thoughtful career choices he has made so far. He said he follows the advice an older actor gave him: "No hard drugs and no super hero movies". If he continues in this direction, he's going to have a distinguished career and be around for a long time.

And I admire his fashion choices. Obviously he's not afraid to do his own thing and is comfortable being a nonconformist. (Unlike most other 20 to 40yo actor in Hollywood who are laser-focused on maintaining a very specific image offscreen.)

Timothee is an excellent actor. I've seen him on stage, and it was obvious before he became a star that he is a major talent. Those skills plus his knack for choosing interesting, smart projects means he will have longevity.

Zendaya is a bigger question mark. She, like Timothee, is incredibly charismatic, and she is becoming a better actor with each role. And she's interesting, so much more so than most of the generically attractive people Hollywood promotes. So I think she'll be around for a while too, and I'm not mad about it.

I think they have longevity. People talk about their limited range but movie stars have always been typecast.

Their youth is possibly a factor but that's the same for any actor. Especially, sadly, for Zendaya since Hollywood doesn't have a great reputation when it comes to women over 40 (barring certain exceptions).

I think people are saying the age of the Movie Star is over. So even if they have qualities that might have given them some longevity in the past, that was the past. Jennifer Lawrence might be the last Movie Star as we've known them.

I remember seeing Timmy in Homeland as the son of the Vice President and I thought he was a smarmy fuck. I don't understand the people who find him charming or likeable.

Chalamet's appeal is because he is non threatening and sexless. For many teenage girls, sexuality is actually a very traumatic and harrowing thing, so to protect themselves they latch on to these kinds of people. They did it with DiCaprio too.

I really wonder how digital technology and social media will influence the self-image of today’s young celebrities, especially the influencers, once they start to age out. I think they will have a hard time letting go of their youth.
