What do you think of Brooke Shields' looks?

When did she peak?

Let's discuss...

Beautiful

She’s always been gorgeous, & probably always will be. My favorite era for her was the early ‘80s, the hair, too much makeup, etc. My family is Eastern European & we had overseas relatives visiting us circa ‘81, & they all raved that my sister looked like Brooke, & wondered how they even knew of her, coming from a Communist country & all.

Her Time magazine cover.

She still looks good. But i was watching her beauty routine on YouTube and she's so rough with her face.

Very young Brooke up until the time of the marriage to Agassi was incredibly beautiful and stunning. As she got older, her features started to look harsh and manly.

There’s something about how women with Brooke Shields type features age, that is not flattering. Another example would be Charlotte of Monaco, very similar features, absolutely beautiful when younger, and harsh looking now.

They’re both very attractive women, but their particular type of beauty does not translate well into adulthood.

I think she was prettiest at 15

by Anonymousreply 7April 11, 2022 6:49 PM

Anyone agree that she looked her best at 15?

by Anonymousreply 8April 16, 2022 3:15 AM

She lost her looks when she starting taking those post-partum anti-depressants.

We're not going to keep assisting in the programming of this bot's AI for what humans find visually appealing, are we?

I was once walking thru the theater district in NY and saw this huge creature I thought was a drag queen standing in front of a theater. As I got closer I realized it was Shields signing autographs in front of The Adams Family.

I wouldn't compare her to the Monaco clan--those women were cute when they're young because they were young, but otherwise nothing striking about their features.

Brooke has good features, good bone structure. I think her problem now is that she still styles herself the way she did when she was 18. If she embraced her age, did something different with her hair, she'd be a gorgeous older woman.

by Anonymousreply 13April 16, 2022 5:24 AM

Got more feminine looking with age.

by Anonymousreply 14April 18, 2022 4:03 AM

Shields was exquisite in her late teens. She’s always going to be beautiful, but the strength of her features was softened by that delicacy that comes with extreme youth (creepy as that sounds.)

The giant chin implant she's been sporting as of recent, is no, not pretty.

by Anonymousreply 16April 18, 2022 5:52 AM

Pretty

by Anonymousreply 17April 20, 2022 11:38 PM

It's the square jaw, R5.

by Anonymousreply 18April 20, 2022 11:43 PM

Jemima Goldsmith is another whose face hasn't gotten more masculine as she has aged.

by Anonymousreply 19April 20, 2022 11:43 PM

I think that she looks like Caitlyn Jenner now.

Past peak wayyyy past

by Anonymousreply 21April 21, 2022 12:52 AM

I know that even Elizabeth Taylor was in awe of the young Brooke Shields' looks....but I've never gotten the thing about Brooke. Yes, she's beautiful, but there's no there there. Just...blankness.

R20 you can’t get away with your eyebrows that thick and dark when you’re middle aged or older. It depends on a certain dewiness which no one that age has.

[quote]R21 Past peak wayyyy past

She’s in her mid 50s.

On the bright side, she’s said she’s never felt more comfortable in herself or her body - so there’s always trade offs.

Not R20, but I think you can have thick & dark eyebrows like that as an older woman. The problem with Brooke's is that the brows are sitting too close & heavy above her eyes. She could tweeze off 2-3 millimeters from the undersides of her brows and still have nice, thick, dark brows. Plus, her eyes would look better, as well.

Her chin / jaw area does look larger. Not sure if she had chin / jaw implants.

Yep.

Peaked at 15

by Anonymousreply 27December 15, 2022 4:17 AM

My mother predicted she would marry royalty. That did not happen.

by Anonymousreply 28December 15, 2022 4:18 AM

R5 Charlotte Rampling is another example. Gorgeous woman.

by Anonymousreply 29December 15, 2022 5:55 AM

You can tell between r15 (where her nose is beautifully curved slightly up) and r20 (where she sportsa slightly aquiline nose)n she had work done on her original nose. The question is: why?
