Actor Mark Wahlberg says that his career will end "sooner rather than later" and plans to be more deliberate in his choices for future roles.
Sad.

Yes, please!

I recently paid good money to watch that crappy film he made with the little boy from Spiderman. A bigger turd has never been splatted across the silver screen. Judging by his performance in that, he gave up acting long ago.

Great idea, Marky Mark. C ya!
by Anonymous | reply 3 | April 9, 2022 10:39 PM |
You mean we can't expect a sequel to Father Stu?

[quote]Mark Wahlberg May Retire From Acting Soon
Did he ever start?

Sad? Nah.

I agree. There were more awful Marky Marks on that movie screen than in his old tattered Calvins.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | April 9, 2022 10:44 PM |
OMG! NO! I can't take it anymore! (Who fucking cares? This bell end has milked the teat of fame well past his weaning point.)
by Anonymous | reply 8 | April 9, 2022 10:45 PM |
The only Marky Mark of any worth was Valerie Cherish's husband.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | April 9, 2022 10:46 PM |
He should shut up and show us some ass. That's all he's ever been good for. 😂
by Anonymous | reply 10 | April 9, 2022 10:53 PM |
R11 the whole movie was bad.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | April 9, 2022 11:14 PM |
He knows the jig is up. Hopefully Matt Damon and Ben Affleck will also retire soon.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | April 9, 2022 11:25 PM |
What will happen to all his hairpieces?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | April 9, 2022 11:26 PM |
So will he go back to throwing rocks at black children in school buses?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | April 9, 2022 11:29 PM |
He’s worth around $300 million, maybe more. He’s fine. He never has to work again. And he knows that.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | April 9, 2022 11:29 PM |
He acts?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | April 9, 2022 11:32 PM |
The only thing he ever did of any merit was Boogie Nights, and he was the worst thing in it.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | April 9, 2022 11:35 PM |
Sounds like he is turning into a religious nut like Chris Pratt.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | April 9, 2022 11:37 PM |
He prays for God to forgive him for making Boogie Nights.

When he's not beating up Asians.

Will he be running for office soon?
by Anonymous | reply 22 | April 9, 2022 11:42 PM |
Thank god!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | April 9, 2022 11:51 PM |
I'd vote for him! He tells it like it is!!!
by Anonymous | reply 24 | April 9, 2022 11:51 PM |
Just a heads up for what's to come: Don't use the word comeback. He hates that word. It will be...a return.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | April 9, 2022 11:54 PM |
He's one I have never cared for in the least. I've always considered him trash.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | April 9, 2022 11:57 PM |
I don't hate him as he remains definitely hawt. But I don't follow him. I guess he has enough money to retire well. Good on him.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | April 10, 2022 4:09 AM |
Good. Good riddance.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | April 10, 2022 4:31 AM |
Is this the one who lives in the house for sale that looks like a wedding venue in Long Island or New Jersey?
by Anonymous | reply 29 | April 10, 2022 4:41 AM |
R2 Uncharted is worse than Infinite? Amazing.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | April 10, 2022 4:44 AM |
I’m still amazed at the success he’s had. He’s a shit actor and a phony, but he keeps getting hired over and over again.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | April 10, 2022 6:45 AM |
@R31 - I know, it's so hard to believe what passes for Hollywood talent nowadays! It's embarrassment to our industry!
by Anonymous | reply 32 | April 10, 2022 1:44 PM |
How nice for Marky Mark, how nice for everyone.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | April 10, 2022 3:23 PM |
Father Stu...hahahahahahaha
by Anonymous | reply 34 | April 10, 2022 3:39 PM |
Why? He's in every f'ing movie ever made along with all the trailers. I guess Hollywood may have run out of iideas if Mark Walberg is going to retire.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | April 10, 2022 3:47 PM |
Maybe we'll get a reboot of "Wahlburgers"? Fingers crossed.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | April 10, 2022 4:06 PM |
Tough guy movies are an easy sell to insecure straight men.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | April 10, 2022 4:09 PM |
Maybe Mark will buy a retirement home in Lake Como and try to rekindle his romance with Clooney.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | April 10, 2022 4:22 PM |
But will he be acting in the legitimate theatre?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | April 10, 2022 4:45 PM |
How will the acting world cope? How will we sleep at night? First a pandemic, then a war, then Mark Wahlberg retiring from acting. What dark times.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | April 10, 2022 4:47 PM |
When you have a twink with attitude like Holland spouting "old man" jokes at Whalberg in a movie, it's clearly time for Marky to reconsider his options.
Stars who are basically personality performers (as opposed to an actor) are increasingly less in demand, especially with streaming services who can find other non-acting hunks for far less $$.
Whalberg was competent in Boogie Nights, but I thought he did well in The Departed.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | April 10, 2022 5:06 PM |
Don't you have to first start doing something before you can retire from it?
by Anonymous | reply 42 | April 10, 2022 5:12 PM |
The difference between Bruce Willis making 20 putrid movies in a row and Mark Wahlberg's last 20 putrid movies is that poor Bruce has aphasia, and Mark's audiences *wishes* they did.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | April 10, 2022 6:55 PM |
Wahlberg was great in Boogie Nights as the self-obsessed, self-righteous star (not a stretch) and in The Departed as the foul-mouthed, arrogant prick cop (not a stretch).
Otherwise he's exhausting. And not nearly as hot as people like to pretend he is.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | April 10, 2022 7:02 PM |
He looks like a special needs Neanderthal.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | April 10, 2022 7:06 PM |
R32 just worry about your skincare line, ScarJo.
