Usually these threads are about houses for sale. But I thought it would be fun if everyone posted single pics they had of houses they found beautiful, ugly or unusual. Maybe the terrible monstrosity in your hometown. Or just one you kept from the Internet - obviously if you kept the pic, there was something to see about it. So share it. I'll start with a couple I saved. Here's one I saw today, apparently a home in Santa Barbara. Both beautiful and unusual.
I read that this one was actually new construction in South Carolina (I think). "The future of housing". Just don't invite your friend Chrissy over!

South Bass Island - apparently in a small airport, but the tower actually just has a bar in it.

I was zooming around Google in London and found this place - such a beautiful, but completely unnoticed, building. 74 Torrington Place. Wish they had this kind of thing in the US.

Some unusual posts I saw in a house for sale in Phoenix (with what is normally called a lawn there).

A sort of minimalist house - I strangely kind of like it.

I love this - it says pure Americana to me. I think it might actually have been an "order through the mail" house.

Château de Vufflens above the Lake Geneva in rolling wine country. Still a private home.

Why yes. Yes you did.

It is Sunday, I must be drunk. Or stupid. Or still half asleep with my dog snoring my feet, wondering if today l’l feel like picking the dog poo that said puppy leaves on the lowest terrace level. Or not. It’s a mystery. Like the Catholic Church.

How does a dog snore feet?
Is he a rescue dog?

R22 - it is a rare condition of otolaryngology that I believe combines the esophagus, the duodenum, parts of the former Ottoman Empire and slobber. Or maybe I could learn to proof better and say “at” my feet.

Very nice front garden R23, and sine lovely nature plantings. Lush and cared for gardens are becoming more remarkably against the trend of low (no) maintenance xeriscaping and big patches of gravel and of ripping out every living thing for fear of who knows what.
That I can't say anything for the house is a testament to good landscaping. It must be a pleasure to see the plants from inside the house (and not the cars and neighbors.)

R20 - love every inch of the interior except for the powder blue bedroom.

I used to drive out of my way just to look at this dream bungalow.

R20 - a pretty great exterior and property also. I love Gil Shafer's work.

Thanks, r25. The wisteria gives privacy and smells wonderful in bloom.

I’d kill for Vivien’s place!
