From the promo, it looks like Molly Shannon will be the only high point of the show.

Watched the premiere last night. It's sort of cute.

Starting the first episode now. I hope it's good, I have too many other things to watch that if it's not I am not sticking it out.

Bayer is very odd looking. But, she seems like a decent and humble person unlike Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and bunch of other past and current SNL cast members who are either smug as fuck or overrated.

I enjoyed it. It is dark but that's how I like it.

R13, no, it isn't just for kids who are dying but all who have life-threatening (they say "critical") illnesses.

I love it so far. Bayer is sorta one note, but it's a note that I find hilarious.

And I love the idea that she lies about cancer to get her dream job. It's a great premise. It's total catnip for me.

The actress who plays Head Boss Bitch is SO good.

Loved when Vanessa commandeered the good dressing room.

Love it so far and so does my sister-in-law, who sold stuff on QVC and saw the behinds the scenes. I also thought this was a ripe network for parody. I love Vanessa and always love Molly.

The head bitch is Jenifer Lewis. I agree, she's excellent.

Cybill Shepherd (!) was originally cast in the role. That would have been TRAGIQUE.

R25 I don't think there has been renewal news yet. I hope it gets a season 2. I always thought Vanessa Bayer was underrated on SNL. She seems like humble low key person unlike some of her former SNL castmates.

R33 Agree! Johnno Wilson is a cutie. He's the one R29 is referring to above. I like where the writers were starting to take his character toward the series finale. Hoping for another season where we get to see more of this funny hottie in increasingly compromising positions and fewer shirts. 😉😜🤷🏻‍♂️

Great casting. The show is amusing light fun. Except for the cancer angle of course. One thing I would change is dial back Bayers character awkwardness with men just a tad. In some scenes she seemed more like a 12 year old than a 30 something. I hope season 2 happens.

I agree, her character was too awkward with men and the character seemed to have some arrested development. The show should have been based more on Bayer's real life post cancer. In real life, Bayer moved to Chicago after college and worked in advertising. She was doing improv at night and I listened to some podcast where she mentioned spending several months doing comedy shows on a cruise ship. Eventually, Bayer was scouted for an SNL audition and ended up on the show. I know it's sounds corny, I find her story to be quite inspirational.

Beth Ann (Ayden Mayeri) is a resplendently vicious cunt.

I've found this show to be oddly lovable. Really cannot stand the young lead with a pathetic streak, but every other character is entertaining as hell.

Can't wait to see how things play out, the show has something that's really twisted, funny, and engaging.

The guy who plays Jennifer Lewis's assistant and Bowen Yang (SNL) are best friends. They were on the View today (they're all in the Bahamas). They were fun

Jenifer Lewis should be a lock for a Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Emmy for this.
