I absolutely hated her when I was a kid. If she was on TV I’d tell my parents to turn the channel. I have no clue why I hated her. I was really little —3 or 4–when she did something to spark my ire.

She always seems like she just Kind of stumbled onto whatever set she is on like she wasn't supposed to be there but they let her stay anyway.

I resented "THAT" eye of hers which never seemed to speak to or connect with me directly and sincerely through the television screen..

She was great when she took over the lead from My One and Only from Twiggy and took the show on tour with her hot, hot hubby Don Correia. Maybe he took over the lead on Broadway before the show closed and went on tour, I don't remember.

It was all so long ago. I think he ended up in a flop Broadway version of Singing in the Rain directed by Twyla Tharp. But he was so, so cute. I think he ended up as a real estate agent, like many cute former Broadway guys. Many years ago, I doubt that anyone would know. Maybe I'm wrong.

Oh, and that eye of hers. It was a dead eye that didn't work but she never had it replaced. She never had a prosthetic put in.

I’ve talked about her several times.

When Encores did No, No, Nanette, at the performance I saw, during the big dance number, Sandy Duncan slipped and fell. She went down smiling and she came right back up smiling. I couldn’t believe anyone could keep a smile plastered on her face like she did.

And anyone who talks about her time in Peter Pan tells the fake story of when she flew out over the audience and her glass eye (which she doesn’t have) popped out and fell in the lap of an audience member. Several years ago, one DLer was telling that it fell in the lap of a man and they had to lower her down to retrieve it and because she couldn’t see, she kept grabbing his scrotum rather than the eye. You can stone me, but I laughed at that recounting of the story.

She also did a month in the Chicago revival. Her engagement had to be cut short when she she broke her ankle. But people who were lucky enough to see her raved and said she was one of the best Roxies ever.

She looks better old in r23 than she did when she was young!

Her career is pretty impressive. She always managed to be up to her eyeball in work.

She looks good… can still knock your eye out.
