The Dental Work of Academy Award Winner Dame Judi Dench

OP Lets see what you look like when you get to be her age.

by Anonymousreply 1March 28, 2022 5:30 PM

She's been missing that tooth for decades. I honestly don't understand why a rich and famous actress like her won't get the damn hole fixed.

by Anonymousreply 2March 28, 2022 5:32 PM

I’m sure LA has emergency cosmetic dentistry.

by Anonymousreply 3March 28, 2022 5:32 PM

How old are you OP? Why are you so bothered by a missing tooth? What does it matter to you and your life?

by Anonymousreply 4March 28, 2022 5:33 PM

Dame Judi is 87 years old. Good dental work is the least of her concerns.

by Anonymousreply 5March 28, 2022 5:33 PM

Fuck, 87? I was honestly thinking something like 60s.

by Anonymousreply 6March 28, 2022 5:34 PM

What could be done about the gap? Could a fake tooth be implanted into the gum? I always wonder what happens when someone gets a front tooth knocked out.

by Anonymousreply 7March 28, 2022 5:34 PM

She's a national treasure, OP. Leave her the fuck alone!

by Anonymousreply 8March 28, 2022 5:36 PM

I suggest a gold filling would complete the look.

by Anonymousreply 9March 28, 2022 5:43 PM

R8 She has been elevated to International Treasure, she, Dolly Parton, and few others secretly live on an island in the middle of the ocean known only to other International Treasures.

by Anonymousreply 10March 28, 2022 5:48 PM

I am sure she could afford an implant, the process for someone for her at her age with a possible bone loss would require bone grafhing. This makes this a 9 month to a year process from start to finish

by Anonymousreply 11March 28, 2022 5:49 PM

No, no and no! She should get it fixed. She's had that fucking gap since she was in her 30's. It it time.

by Anonymousreply 12March 28, 2022 5:50 PM

R9, that's an excellent idea!

When you're 87 you definitely won't care if you didn't care enough to get it fixed in your 30s..

Judi has never been a sexpot, so she doesn't really have much to prove. I feel like it's the people who were hot when young who try to keep up as they get older.

Why are Americans so obsessed with teeth?

by Anonymousreply 15March 28, 2022 5:51 PM

She's hardly this. Calm the fuck down.

Liza knocked it out back in 1983 when Judy looked at her that year’s Oscar’s and said “I hope your career doesn’t go down the same shitter that your mom died on”. Liza was more of a thug in 83 than Will Smith in 22!

[quote] Why are Americans so obsessed with teeth?

Why don't Britons give a fuck about teeth?

by Anonymousreply 20March 28, 2022 6:11 PM

If she can’t get an implant, she could get a bridge. The reason we don’t let missing teeth stay missing is that the tooth it’s supposed to meet on the bottom will also be lost eventually. They need to have some “resistance” to maintain circulation and not atrophy.

Or that’s how it was explained to me.

by Anonymousreply 21March 28, 2022 6:19 PM

R21 It's not the teeth but the jaw bone that responds to force of pressure, stress or resistance as you say.
