Got to be one of the biggest cinema disappointments of the last 10 years. Nothing like pederast relationships to be romanticized.
I left the theater thinking "No wonder I barely go to the movies anymore"

Didn't you think it was strange (or stupid) that this kid would just start businesses out of nowhere with no means to start them?

That wasn't my biggest issue with it. I found it, for the most part, unfunny, the whole taking Japanese pidgeon was weird and while maybe not intentionally racist, certainly made some in the audience uncomfortable, and pointlessly so because it wasn't very funny. I thought the film lost steam and purpose during the Sean Penn and Bradley Cooper de tours. And the apparently root for romance between the protagonists(a toxic, weird, unbelievable and blatantly pederast relationship) ruined it completely.
I am by no means a pearl clutcher and may have accepted a relationship with that gap and with the same ages had it not just felt like an older sister/younger brother relationship with only some sexual tension coming from him because he was a horny 15 year old, and nothing from her. Seriously, they're fights were less filled with romantic angst and more filled with sibling competitiveness. But they put cheesy music and had them running to each other at different times so I guess they were true love or something.

Is this movie only meant to interest Jewish adolescents?
Then it's of no interest to me.

oh and yes yes yes before anyone comes after me..."their"...not "they're"...oh dear

I won't even give it a watch. It's a display of the double standards in Hollywood & America: if the older character were also a male, they'd want us burned at the stake. But in heteroland it's "charming" or whatever 🙄
I'll put it this way: tonight I watched Swan Song. A much better investment of my time.

That was the least believable 15-year-old I've ever seen in my life, and I've seen Dear Evan Hansen.

Loved it. 10 years, OP? Get a fucking life.

R7 the 10 years wasn't the problem, and your imbecilic response coupled with the fact that you "loved it" just proves my point further.

Based on the responses in the original thread, it would seem quite a few people have seen it.

Yes indeed, we too use "cookies." Take a look at our privacy/terms or if you just want to see the damn site without all this bureaucratic nonsense, click ACCEPT. Otherwise, you'll just have to find some other site for your pointless bitchery needs.
