Lisa Fischer's How Can I Ease the Pain

Utter perfection.

Sad that she decided to just continue her career as a backup singer.

Amazing vocalist.

Is this the same Lisa who sang backup for The Rolling Stones? She was very popular and many fans were missing her after she finished that gig.

Yes, the very same singer!

She's featured in the Academy Award winning Documentary: 20 Feet from Stardom

Incredible vocalist, with great range and power. I have to be in the right mood for the song (it's such a slow-build of drama that it feels like a commitment lol) but it's perfect when I am. The climax where she jumps up an octave ("Give me all, or nothing at all") is everything.

Back when I used to be a sound engineer I got to be there for one of her BGV sessions. I'd say she's one of the three most impressive vocalists i've ever seen working up close (along with Rachelle Ferrell and Lalah Hathaway).

She’s terrific!

Before the pandemic, I saw her sing in the NYC jazz supper club.

She's gained alot of weight but that voice is still stunning. One of the reasons she said she didn't want to continue a solo career is the constant need to worry about how she looked.

Did she sing HCIETP? When I saw her a while back she did not! I was annoyed

Yes ma'am Lisa. Been a fan since day one. She grew into her own as a singer. Lisa's current interpretation of her songs reminds me a lot of Rachelle Ferrell.

Still sounding fantastic at 63 years old.

She has a great voice, but she's overdoing it. Typical mistake of a background singer. All vocal gymnastics, no interpretive skills.

She was a background singer for Luther Vandross for a long time and also toured with the Stones for decades, where she had to lock tongues with Mick Jagger. I hope she got paid well.

She is an amazing singer and a rare case because her album was a success and she even received grammy nominations
